Early Premiere in 5 Countries for “The Rising of the Shield Hero 3”
Unlike the resounding success of its first season, The Rising of the Shield Hero’s second installment was met with more muted comments. This cast doubt on the third season, which was confirmed in 2019 alongside the second.
After months of waiting, the new image and teaser finally confirmed what many fans had suspected. The premiere of the third season was also announced, set for this upcoming autumn.
On Wednesday, the team behind ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ revealed that the third season would offer sneak peeks in five nations. Beginning in Los Angeles on July 3rd, the “The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 World Tour” will make its way across the globe until concluding in Japan in October 2023.
The anime’s voice actors will make a special appearance on stage at the culminating event in Japan.
Below is the provisional itinerary that was posted on the official website and Twitter for the globe tour. Additional updates will also be published on both sites.
Venue | Premiere Date |
Los Angeles, The United States | July 3, 2023 |
Paris, France | July 2023 |
Austin, The United States | July 2023 |
Mannheim, Germany | August 2023 |
Toronto, Canada | August 2023 |
Tokyo, Japan | October 2023 |
The third season of “The Rising of the Shield Hero” will air in October 2023. The precise date has not been announced as of yet. The following people are involved in the show’s production:
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Director | Hitoshi Haga | Sin in the Rain |
Scriptwriter | Keigo Koyanagi | Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars, Sirius the Jaeger |
Character Design | Masahiro Suwa | Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Key Animation) |
Character Design | Sana Komatsu | Fire Force (Key Animation) |
Character Design | Franziska van Wulfen | Revue Starlight The Movie (Key Animation) |
Music | Kevin Penkin | Made in Abyss, Tower of God |
Animation Production | Kinema Citrus | Made in Abyss, Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress |
I’m hoping the producers heard the feedback from season two’s detractors. If season three ends the same way, it will be a major letdown. If the season doesn’t turn things around, there may be little use in continuing the show at all.
