Duke runs away in the middle of the fight as Kartein interfered to fight the professor. Helping Gain was the first priority for Jiwoo so he couldn’t chase after Duke. Kartein doesn’t like to show his feelings of caring for someone in the open. Thus when asked about Jiwoo, he brushes it off saying that Jiwoo is his patient and he helped in the fight so that he doesn’t get hurt.
Kartein is visibly annoyed to come to terms with his feelings and thus he also assures himself that he’s not helping but treating his patient.
Jiwoo tells Kayden about Duke being the traitor and how Gain was attacked in the process. Kayden puts it back to a simple explanation which is greed for power.
Awakened betray organisations, family and friends to gain more power. It is rather common in their world.
Kartein also noticed Duke has the same ability as Schneider. Jiwoo explains the reason behind it and says it’s because he’s trained by him.
Kayden already knows that Schneider had one apprentice so Duke must be his second apprentice. This shows that Schneider had his first apprentice for quite some time and is trained in force control, unlike Duke.
Eleceed Chapter 219 Release Date
Kartein has always been a mysterious character since his appearance. Although he’s loved by the readers, not much is shown about him except that he heals Jiwoo.
Hence, his character is getting explored now. Kayden’s healing abilities are top-notch because he could heal Jiwoo when no one could.
Next, he also had great defence and barrier skills. His attacking skills are also shown and are quite unique from the rest.

Kartein’s Actions
Kartein arrived on the scene and the professor was shocked to see him there. She asked a natural question as to why Kartein is helping Kayden’s apprentice when both of them are enemies.
This pissed off Kartein and he was fuming in anger when he replied that Jiwoo was his patient and it was annoying for him to see Jiwoo get hurt every time. He stepped in only for that reason.
Kayden’s force control was dark in colour and the professor decided to attack him back as she couldn’t die like this. She thought that she succeeded in her attack but it was just Kartein’s trap.
Kartein had trapped the professor in his Black Swamp. There’s no escape if someone falls into this trap. Kartein also grows wings in this technique and the person disappears from sight and existence.
In midst of this chaos, Duke disappeared from the scene. Kartein was here because Jiwoo got in another fight just after his recovery.
Kartein didn’t accept Jiwoo’s request to go after him as it wasn’t his purpose. Was it a good thing to let Duke run away? Eleceed 219 spoilers will likely answer the question.
Jiwoo’s Fight Analysis
Kayden is Jiwoo’s mentor and thus it’s necessary for them to discuss various matters, especially in this Awakened world.
Kayden asked Jiwoo about he felt about his fight with Duke. Jiwoo felt it easier than before because Duke used the world-ranked top 10 ability in this fight.
Jiwoo felt that Duke’s force control wasn’t natural, It was probably because he was trained in this ability for a short time.
Jiwoo came to the conclusion that Duke must’ve trained in his own skills for a long time and this force control was his recently gained power.
Even with the same amount of power, the outcome depends on how someone utilises it. Hence when Duke used the power he learnt recently and not the one in which he had trained from the beginning, it was obvious that Jiwoo could overcome him.
Will there be another face-off between Duke and Jiwoo in the future? For now, Jiwoo is getting stronger in utilising his techniques using Kayden’s training methods.
What happens next?
After running away from the Academy, Duke reaches his hideout place. It’s probably the place where Frame members stay or just a place for Schneider’s apprentices to come.
Duke arrives in an injured condition and is greeted by Schneider’s first apprentice. Duke calls him brother but the other disregards him.
Are they related by blood or just related to Schneider’s mastership? However, this new person is stronger than Duke because Duke doesn’t answer back.
The news of Kayden getting an apprentice spread like a wildfire. People are interested in checking out Jiwoo and knowing about his skills.
Schenider’s apprentice is no exception. Since his master is one of the world’s top 10, he is interested in checking out Jiwoo as he’s Kayden’s apprentice.
Will this person go over to the Academy to attack Jiwoo? Jiwoo seems to be in a critical position now.
Even without this person, there are several people who are lined up for challenging Jiwoo. What will happen next in his days at the Academy?
