Falcom Plans to Release New Trails Game and More in 2022!

Exciting new plans and projects for the remainder of 2021 and the entire year of 2022 are in the works, according to Nihon Falcom’s half-yearly financial result report!
Joining Nihon Falcom’s legendary Trails role-playing game series is an upcoming action-packed new game that is set to launch in September 2022.
The new game, the fifth installment, will be released following “The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV,” which is the fourth installment in the Trails of Cold Steel role-playing game series.
It will be a big year for the veteran studio as it plans to develop titles for the Nintendo Switch, with The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails being the first in 2022.
Did we tell you the iconic studio will also be promoting multiplatform game production for Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia on consoles, PCs, and smartphones?
But hold on, there’s more!
Along with the PlayStation 4 release of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, the budget version of Falcom’s hit Ys JRPG series, the studio aims to release more items to mark the 35th anniversary of its fan-favorite Ys series.
Talk about going all out!
While the gamers ought to be overjoyed with all the good news, there’s more to be excited about.
The Trails or Kiseki series will be adapted into a television anime in 2022.

Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a role-playing video game. The game is part of the Trails series, which is itself a subset of The Legend of Heroes.
