FRIENDS Reunion: Shooting to Start in March 2021

The FRIENDS reunion special is officially back on track. The highly-anticipated episode was supposed to be filmed during summer 2020 but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. FRIENDS fans were afraid that the indefinite delay would hamper the production and the project would be shelved. But Matthew Perry has confirmed that the reunion is happening, and it is happening early next year.

In a tweet, the Chandler Bing actor told fans that filming has been rescheduled to March 2021. The reunion will see David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow reprise their roles as the iconic characters from the sitcom FRIENDS. The show debuted in 1994 and had a successful 10 season run, which ended in 2004.

FRIENDS revolved around the lives of six 20-something individuals in New York City. Their trials, tribulations, and experiences charmed an entire generation and the show remains equally popular even after 25 years of its first episode.

Ever since the show ended in 2004, there had been talks of a revival. News broke last year that a FRIENDS reunion was in the pipeline and the streaming service HBO Max was supposed to kick off with the special.

HBO Max has not announced an official date for the premiere of the reunion yet.

Do you think FRIENDS should have a reunion? Will you watch it? (Definitely, I will!)
