Gokusen’s manga ended in 2007, and the anime ended in 2008. So, I don’t know about you, but I’ve been terribly missing the author’s distinct style.

Now that the mangaka has announced a fresh series, new and old fans alike have a reason to rejoice.

Gokusen’s mangaka, Kozueko Morimoto, will launch a new manga, Janomenome. The series will start serialization from February 28, 2022, in Cocohana magazine.

Janomenome will be featured on the cover page of the magazine’s April issue. Its first chapter will also receive an opening color page. The manga is about Tōko, a girl who exorcizes ghosts with the help of her special eyes.

Although the premise gives off horror manga vibes, I’m sure that Morimoto-sensei will know how to put a spin on it and make it hilarious.

I can’t wait to see the vintage designs of the mangaka once again, as she is sure to debut another masterpiece series.

Kozueko Morimoto’s last manga was Ashi-Girl, a series about an unmotivated girl who accidentally time travels and finds the man of her dreams. The manga ended last December, making fans wonder about her next work.

Lo and behold, the writer is back with yet another series that has the potential to keep us glued to it.
