The relationship between Nagumo and Itsuka is an unusual one. Nagumo’s parents own a Japanese sweets shop which he had no interest in, and so he ran away to become a musician.

When Nagumo comes back after hearing his father is hospitalized, he encounters Itsuka, who’s been helping his parents in the shop. Nagumo is asked to be a father figure to Itsuka while competing with her to determine who will inherit the shop.

This exciting gourmet anime, Deaimon, revealed the first PV for its premiere in 2022. The PV is calming and filled with some mesmerizing visuals.

The PV features all the characters from the anime like Nagumo, his parents, Itsuka, and some more. It also introduces both the protagonists in a monologue between the soothing background music.

The video starts by displaying the preparation of some traditional Japanese sweets that can make your mouth water. It then shows Itsuka calling Nagumo her dad and the latter being taken aback by it.

The supporting characters are introduced one after the other while showing some bonding moments between Nagumo and Itsuka. In between the PV, a phrase appears that says ‘Human bonds connected by Japanese sweets,’ which summarizes the show’s theme.

Excitement Ensues as Rin Asano’s Deaimon is All Set to Receive an Anime Series

I wonder if they’ll be able to pull off the complexity of the relationship between Nagumo and Itsuka. They’re not related by blood, and Nagumo has to foster the kid while competing with her.

Meanwhile, he’ll also have some bonding moments with Itsuka as her father figure and learn about his parents’ condition in his absence. The connection needs to be formed gradually, and I hope they don’t mess it up.

About Deaimon

Deaimon is a Japanese manga was created by Rin Asano and was launched in the May 2016 issue of Young Ace. Kadokawa published the manga’s 10th compiled volume on November 4, and will publish the 11th compiled volume on May 1.

The manga’s story centers on Nagomu, a man who left his home in Kyoto and his family’s confectionary shop when he became a musician.

Nagomu Irino returns to his Kyoto home for the first time in ten years when his father is hospitalized.

Nagomu is eager to take over Ryokushou, the family’s Japanese sweet shop, but he’s instead asked to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihira, the girl everyone calls the successor.
