Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Manga to Get Anime in 2023
On October 25 2022, an anime adaptation of Kai Ikada’s manga Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! was confirmed by her on the official Twitter account.
Along with the announcement, Ikada released a celebratory illustration of the characters.
The anime adaptation is set to premiere in 2023 as confirmed by Sheisha, and it was revealed that the main voice actress will be Ayane Sakura, who will play the role of the protagonist and love interest Minami Fuyuki.
There is no information yet on who will be the voice actor for the male lead and the supporting characters.
The rom-com manga Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!centres around a Japanese boy Tsubasa Shiki who moves from a big city to a much smaller one called Kitami in Hokkaido.
When he enrolls in a local high school, Minami Fuyuki, a classmate of his takes a liking to him and takes him under her wing. Shiki is enamoured by Fuyuki and is drawn to her as he finds her to be unlike any other girl he has ever met.
Ikada first launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + app on September 4, 2019, and the manga has been serialised for free on the app and the website since.
As of June 3, 2022, the manga published its 8th Tankobon compilation, and its 9th compiled volume is set to be published on November 4, 2022.
Additionally, the manga and anime will be featured during this year’s Jump Festa’23 event at the Makuhari Messe event hall in Chiba on December 17-18, 2022.
