Fuji TV Reveals Premiere Date for Honey Lemon Soda Anime at 2024 Press Conference
At the Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2024 event held on Monday, the highly anticipated television anime adaptation of Mayu Murata’s Honey Lemon Soda manga was announced to premiere in January 2025 on the channel’s +Ultra programming block. The announcement has created a buzz among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the anime adaptation of the popular manga.
Production Details
The anime adaptation is being directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori, who has previously worked on popular anime such as A Certain Magical Index and IDOLiSH 7 the Movie LIVE 4 bit BEYOND THE PERiOD. J.C. STAFF, a well-known animation studio, is producing the anime.
Akiko Waba, who has worked on Blue Reflection Ray, is in charge of the series composition. Aimi Tanaka, the character designer for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, is designing the characters. The music is being composed by Akira Kosemura, who has also worked on Ao no Orchestra. UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is producing and planning the anime.
About the Manga
Mayu Murata launched the Honey Lemon Soda manga in Shueisha’s Ribon magazine in December 2015. The first compiled book volume of the manga was published by Shueisha in May 2016, with the manga’s 25th volume set to be released on April 24. As of February, the manga has a cumulative circulation of over 12 million copies, making it one of the most popular titles in Ribon magazine.
English Translation
Yen Press is the English publisher of the manga, with the fifth volume set to be released on March 19. The English translation has been well-received by fans who have praised the quality of the translation and the attention to detail.
