Hulu Releases the English Trailer for the Second Season of Tokyo Revengers!

The highly anticipated return of Tokyo Revengers to television screens is only a few days away now. They also just recently released the opening theme that plays before the credits roll. In the meantime, a trailer with English subtitles was made available on Hulu.

On Saturday, Hulu unveiled on their YouTube channel the dubbed trailer for Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc. The brothers Hakkai and Taiju of the Shiba ethnic group are the primary focus of the trailer, as is their contentious relationship.

Takemichi plans to save Hinata by vanquishing Taiju and the Black Dragons. It was revealed in Season 1 that Hakkai is the vice-captain of Takashi Mitsuya’s Second Division of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Tomokazu Sugita joins the cast as the voice of Taiju, and Mikako Komatsu plays the role of Yuzuha Shiba, the middle sibling of the Shiba twins.

MBS, TV Tokyo, AT-X, and other networks will broadcast the Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc. As part of Disney+ and Kodansha’s expanded partnership, the series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in Japan and around the world.

On January 7, the anime will be available to watch online for free on Hulu (owned by Disney) in the United States.

After Ken Wakui’s manga’s canonical story concluded in November 2022, it spawned two sequel manga, an anime series, and a live-action film franchise. Wakui has also announced a special arc for November 2023, and his own spin-off, Tokyo Revengers Extra, will debut this year.

Tokyo Revengers

Ken Wakui pens and illustrates the manga Tokyo Revengers. It first appeared in print on March 1, 2017, in Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine, and ran until November 20, 2022. There are a total of 30 tankobon volumes containing this collection.

The plot follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a middle schooler who discovers that his one and only ex-girlfriend was murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. As soon as the news of the incident reached the train’s platform, Takemichi was pushed off.

When he landed on the tracks, he closed his eyes, resigned to his death. When he opened them, he found himself 12 years in the past.
