Backstory Redeems Uvo in Hunter x Hunter Chap 396
After a lengthy absence, the Hunter x Hunter manga has just resumed publication. The manga’s Chapter 395 was posted on the official websites of Viz Media and MANGA Plus. The chapter is also available on the Shonen Jump app from Viz Media and the MANGA Plus app from Shueisha.
Hunter versus Hunter The Phantom Troupe’s origin is continued in Chapter 396, titled Founding: Part 2. The chapter delves into how and why the evil group was established.
Before we get into what happened in this chapter, let’s go over what happened in Chapter 395.
Hinrigh concluded in Chapter 395, Founding: Part 1, that the Heil-Ly family used warping skills to go throughout the ship. He even told Wang that the Phantom Troupe was aggressively looking for the enemy’s hideout.
Nobunaga and Phinks began chatting about their past while investigating, which caused a flashback to the Phantom Troupe when they were youths in Meteor City.
Chrollo, Franklin, and Shalnark were at conflict with Uvojin and Phinks in the flashback.
In several aspects, Chapter 396 appears to redeem Uvojin’s character. The chapter depicts the Troupe’s inception, as well as Uvojin as a child and his motivations for wanting to be a member of it.
Chrollo had snuck a videotape from Phinks and Uvojin in the previous chapter and decided to dub the movie in his own voice with the support of a few others. This, however, did not sit well with Phinks and Uvojin, Chrollor’s bullies at the moment.
In this episode, Chrollo is confronted by the two for using their video without permission, but the situation is defused by Sarasa, the youngest, who assures Chrollo that she understands how to deal with the bullies.
Uvo asks Chrollor if he can voice the monster in the video for the rest of the episodes after he apologizes for borrowing his tape. The other kids want to be in the videos as well, with Nobu volunteering to be Green, Feitan wanting to be Yellow, Phinks wanting to be Blue, and Franklin wanting to be the Great Demon.
As a result, the Troupe was founded. When they are deciding on a name for their organization, Uvo suggests Gekidan, which means Troupe of performers. Nobu appears to find this name too formal and serious, so Paku suggests renaming it Ryodan, which means “travel.” As a result, the group is finally given a name.
When the organization is founded, Uvo declares that he has finally discovered what he is looking for. When Chrollor wonders what that is, he says he wants to be the world’s number one villain in all of the plays he performs with the Troupe. The chapter concludes with a few suspicious individuals in a nearby automobile seeking for youngsters to abduct.

The plot recounts the exploits of a young kid, Gon, who discovers that his deceased father was not only alive but also a legendary Hunter. Rather than becoming disheartened, Gon resolves to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a great Hunter himself.
