However, it is most likely that the battle will be followed by the Director’s sacrifice.

The 52nd chapter started with a flashback sequence that showcased a conversation between the Director-General and Captain Narumi. But when he turned back, Kafka informed him that he was not the Director. It turned out Kaiju No nine had fused his body with the Director.
