With the latest season being a major hit, fans are so very excited to know when will Kimetsu No Yaiba Demon Slayer Season 3 get announced.
In Season 2, we were left just a tad bit unsatisfied. And all of that pertains to the length of the show, not the quality.
With 18 episodes, it really was small. Hence, we are looking to see Tanjiro and Nezuko in the new season.
Written and illustrated by Kyoharu Gotouge, Kimetsu No Yaiba is a shonen manga from Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. It is one of the most popular titles of recent times and has topped the sales charts for months. It has gained worldwide popularity in a very short span of time.
Remember, a major portion of Season 2 was spent on the Mugen Train Arc. However, we saw and enjoyed that already during the movie. So, despite the extra scenes, the anime didn’t feel very fresh.
That said, the Entertainment District arc was nothing short of incredible and we are excited to see more.
It has been quite a while since the series ended. Kyoharu sensei is already back home and the manga is not returning. However, the sales of the series are still as robust as ever.
They are still on the best-selling lists and will continue to be so in the next few months. That’s how much impact this series had on us.
Let us get to discussing Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 3, something we all know in our hearts is coming. The season will focus on getting Tanjiro stronger and we can’t wait to see it.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Announcement:
Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has just been announced. It is currently the biggest news amongst anime fans. After the end of the second season, the third has been announced.
The Demon Slayer Season 3 production has finally been confirmed and the release date has been set for Spring 2023. It is already ranked 8.91 on Myanimelist, making it into the top 20 series on the platform.
Additionally, it has a popularity rank of 252. So we are looking forward to the official Demon Slayer Season 3 announcement, just like the upcoming One Piece Film: Red.
Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 3 Release Date:
As you know, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is coming in 2023. This means nearly a 1-year gap. However, we don’t think this will be the case for Kimetsu No Yaiba. The former is ongoing and chapters are coming out. But the latter is already over. There is no reason to delay.
The Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 3 is set to release in April 2023. We must admit that the animation quality can’t be achieved unless ample time is given. Otherwise, the creators will just be overworked to insane degrees.
Given the length, that is, 12 episodes, the third season will be a hit as well.
We expect Studio Ufotable to produce Demon Slayer Season 3 as well. And we expect Shueisha to continue funding it in the next season as well. Distribution will probably be handled by Crunchyroll and possibly Funimation.
Season 2 Recap:
Before we get to know more about KNY Demon Slayer Season 3 release date, English sub preview, and trailer, let’s do a recap of the last season.
In the second season, we first had a rerun of the Infinity Train arc. We got to meet Rengoku, the flame hashira. His bright personality and incredible strength impressed Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, who immediately became his students.
Together, they boarded a train where a demon resides.
It ended up being Lower Moon One, Enmu. He specializes in breaking his opponents via dreams. He is extremely vicious and must be exterminated. But the success of the mission did not bring much joy.
Our heroes ended up meeting with Akaza, the Upper Moon Four. His strength was of a different level and he ended up taking the life of Rengoku.
Following this, the trio went to the Entertainment District to help Sound Hashira Tengen in his mission. His wives have gone missing and there is a demon prowling around. The demon ended up being Upper Moon Six, Daki.
Initially, the fight went fairly simple and Tengen ended up defeating Daki with ease. However, Daki’s brother Gyutaro came out. The siblings exist as one and they are Upper Moon Six together!
The fight that ensued took out every ounce of strength from the Demon Slayers to defeat the Demons. It was an incredible battle to witness!
Demon Slayer Season 3 Trailer And Preview
We are sure that the first arc that will be included in Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 3 will be the swordsmith village arc. The anime has been very faithful to the manga and is going chronologically.
This means Tanjiro will be moving on with his mission and reach the Swordsmith village. The stakes will be very high in this arc.
We know that Tanjiro has ended up damaging his sword again. In the village, he tries to get his sword fixed and hears about a legendary weapon. He meets the Love Hashira, the Mist Hashira, and also, Genya.
Little did they know that soon, they have to face very dangerous opponents who plan to destroy the village.
We expect this arc to be concluded within 8 or 9 episodes. And it will be followed by the Hashira Training Mini arc. Going by its size, it should not take more than 2 episodes. And that will be followed by the final arc, which should take 20 episodes minimum.
Hence, at this moment we are not sure how the creators will proceed. Demon Slayer Season 3 will be of 12 episodes followed by another season which will be longer. We’ll see when the time comes.
