Sense scans have given us a speedy, yet quality delivery. Fans are very excited for Kingdom Chapter 645 as the fate of Zhao gets clearer. Riboku, one of Zhao’s Three Great Heavens, will return to be the army commander. We will get to more details in the spoilers section.

Who do you think killed the Zhao ruler, King Toujou? This foolish man was on the verge of ruining Zhao completely and just in the nick of time, he died. Whoever did this must be a Zhao patriot. Or is it someone entirely different?

Kingdom New Arc Decider:
Kingdom 645 will move further in setting up the new arc. Or is it? Let us look closely. We said that Riboku is returning. And this time, he has no king watching over his actions, restricting him. With unlimited access to Zhao army, he can easily fortify the remnants of Zhao.
In that case, the Qin Attack on Kantan will fail. It has been repeated multiple times, that General OuSen is not a person who fights a battle where there is no chance of winning. Winning this battle is next to impossible. Kingdom Chapter 645 will be the place where we see where the next arc is truly heading.
Now there are 2 possibilities we can see here –
- Qin will withdraw its troops and refrain from attacking Zhao at this moment. It will focus elsewhere and try to expand territory. In an earlier article, we theorized how Han will be Qin’s next target. We will stick with that theory. Also, if this happens, Kingdom Manga 645 will be the end of the Zhao Invasion Campaign!
- Qin will attack Zhao once more and the huge Zhao army will push back Qin. They will probably fail to reach Kantan at all. Qin will experience its first major defeat and King Ei Sei’s dream will receive a setback.

Kingdom 644 Recap:
Chapter 644: House of Peach Spring
Riboku sits alone in a Kantan dungeon. Kakurai arrives before him and gleefully informs about his impending execution. Riboku will be executed at Rakan Plaza! Kakurai asks for his final words. To this, Riboku replies that Qin will definitely try to conquer Zhao.
He correctly predicts that Qin will seize the opportunity to capture Zhao completely. In order to repel them, a defense should be built up centred around Hanfu. Riboku also asks them to tell Kaine not to chase him or do anything foolish.
Outside, Kakurai reveals that he will not pass on Riboku’s final words to anyone. He was a twisted and cunning man. However, King TouJou was even more warped and did not mind Kakurai.
At Zhao court, Crown Prince Ka respectfully requests his father not to kill RiBoku. He points out how precious RiBoku is and without him, Zhao crumbles. He suggests that RiBoku should be punished for relinquishing Gyou – not by death, but by stripping off his titles and rank.
King TouJou comes ahead and embraces him. He notices how much his son has grown up. He then proceeds to mercilessly bite off Prince Ka’s right ear. He was furious that Ka had the guts to question him and ordered him to be removed.
Even with this immense pain, Ka ignores his ear and keeps requesting RiBoku’s execution to be retracted. King TouJou then orders for Kakurai and Records Clerk Ei to be brought.
In Gyou, Shin and MouTen have just arrived. However, they are ordered to leave immediately and join Ou Sen who is at the frontlines. They are all aware of some disturbance in Kantan, but not sure what. As they all set out to attack Kantan after RiBoku’s death, Ten worries about Kaine and hopes she does not get herself killed.
At Kantan, Kaine is worried. ShunSuiJu goes through intel. Turns out, RiBoku will be executed the next day. He is heavily guarded and the rebels who want to save him are outnumbered fifty to one. Only chance of saving him is on the spot. No army will be able to save RiBoku and it will be a swift death.
ShunSuiJu decides that as soon as RiBoku appears on execution grounds, they will have someone inside launch a signal. With that, a group of rebels dressed as commoners will break in and quickly rescue RiBoku. However, this will be a suicide mission as most of this team will die. Kaine offers to join this rescue squad and ShunSuiJi concurs.
Elsewhere, KakuRai is checking the preparations of the execution. King TouJou is in his bath, surrounded by little children, in the House of Peach Spring. The king is really fond of his bath and these children servants.
The king is drunk and keeps drinking more. Suddenly he starts to feel discomfort. He gets out of bath but collapses, his heart giving out. He asks for help but the children lay there, stunned. He bleeds out and slowly passes away from poison. The children servants gladly accepts it, as he dies in agony.
In 236 BC, the same year when Zhao lost Gyou, it lost King TouJou. The Shiji also says that Zhao lost it’s hereditary house section.
Kingdom Chapter 645 Spoilers:
Let us address the final line first. Zhao lost its hereditary house section. What does this mean? We believe, King TouJou will not be succeeded by the Crown Prince Ka. It will be someone else, maybe a second prince who will become the new king.
Kingdom Manga 645 will explain more about this. To that end, let us get to our next point. Who killed King TouJou? The Children are very glad about this. They have been abused by this vile man and they are glad to be rid of him.
So, one of these children, or maybe multiple, were assigned the task of poisoning the king’s drink. But the question remains. Who employed the kids? We believe it is Kakurai. In our opinion, Kakurai is working under Prince Toujou’s younger brother or some other family member.
This mysterious person will probably be revealed in the upcoming Chapter 645..
Take a look at this small but seemingly important panel. The eyes of Prince Ka shows pure contempt and the eyes of the retainer shows a tired disgust. So it is entire possible that these two were involved in the assassination. We will find out soon.
Now let us go over RiBoku. This great man thought about protecting his nation, even when he was on death row. This shows his incredible patriotism. We believe he will return in Kingdom Chapter 645, this time free and strong as ever. He will mobilize troops, securing the frontlines of Zhao. The cities of Hango and Buan will be fortified; Kantan will be fortified; the region Hanfu will be properly guarded.
This will render Qin’s attack useless. They will not be able to utilize the chaos in Zhao and capture more territory.
