LiSA’s Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Opening Receives Song of the Year Award
Demon Slayer’s songs have become the new ‘Sasageyo Sasageyo’ as everyone, otaku and non-otakus, have at least one of its tracks on their playlist. I’m not sure how the Demon Slayer team manages to find such talent, but they’re doing a pretty good job.
LiSA’s songs have always been top-notch, and the ones she did for the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise are no less. She has also performed Demon Slayer’s theme song ‘Gurenge,’ which did numbers on the music charts and became a massive hit, and this time, she’s done it again.
The artist LiSA’s song, ‘Akeboshi’ for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train anime series, became one of the Songs of the Year at the 63rd Japan Record Awards.

Many other artists shared the title with the Demon Slayer singer, including Da-iCE’s CITRUS, AKB48’s Ne mo Ha mo Rumor, and more. All these songs are equally impressive and truly deserve to be in the Songs of the Year category.
Ado, Bank Band, Takashi Matsumoto, and YOASOBI received Special Achievement Awards that honor artists or works that have gained widespread popularity or captured the true essence of an era.
Moreover, the Special Lifetime Award was given to the late Makoto Kawaguchi, the late Asei Kobayashi, and the late Koichi Sugiyama for their various achievements and contributions in the Japanese music industry.

The Asian music industry has flourished ever since the world was introduced to anime and K-pop. J-pop and K-pop genres paved the way for even more underrated artists to go global and compete with Western artists in a head-to-head competition.
Anime openings have always been unskippable, be it AOT’s Sasageyo Sasageyo, Naruto’s Blue Bird, or Tokyo Ghoul’s Unravel. Weebs have been listening to these bops for a long time, and they’re now finally being recognized worldwide.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.
In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.
