Mamoru Miyano Reveals News On Season 2 of Zombie Land Saga
When Sakura woke up as the living dead, the last thing on her mind was becoming a singing and dancing idol. But thanks to her necromancer boss Kotaro Tatsumi, she became part of the group Franchouchou.
Now, our favorite group of undead idol girls are coming back with Season 2 of Zombie Land Saga and we can’t be more thrilled.
Mamoru Miyano (voice actor for Kotaro Tatsumi) has recently revealed some awesome news for us fans.
Zombie Land Saga is confirmed for a Season 2 and more information will be revealed at exactly 00:00 on January 1, JST. Season 2 will be titled “Zombie Land Saga Revenge.”
The announcement video has also been marked with the timer for the January 1st unveiling.
Zombie Land Saga is an original TV anime produced by MAPPA, Avex Pictures and Cygames in the year 2018. The anime ran for 12 episodes and a manga series of the same name was also released during its broadcast period.
The story centers Sakura, a young girl, who loses her life to a traffic accident but is later resurrected by an eccentric idol group owner/necromancer named Kotaro.
Now Sakura must try to blend in with her 6 other zombie friends to perform as the idol group Franchouchou while trying to avoid being persecuted.
Season 1 of Zombie Land Saga directed by Munehisa Sakai received much praise for winning the 2019 Tokyo Anime Awards Festival award for Animation of the Year.
The anime’s bizarre yet comedic approach to horror was a hit among fans hence the demand for Season 2.

About Zombie Land Saga
Zombie Land Saga is an original TV animation produced by the joint collaboration between MAPPA, Avex Pictures and Cygames. Season 1 of the anime made in 2018 ran for 12 episodes and also paved way for a manga series.
The story is about Sakura and how her dream of becoming an idol soon comes to an end after being hit by a truck.
Finding herself in an unknown world, she later comes to know that she was resurrected as a zombie by a man named Koutarou.
His aim is to build an idol group including Sakura and other six zombie girls that he revived in the land of Saga. Coming to accept reality, she begins her new life as an idol in the group known as Frank Chouchou.
