MHA 322: Star and Stripe vs. Shigaraki Ends Badly For Heroes
The battle between Star and Stripe and Shigaraki has reached its end in My Hero Academia chapter 322. Even with her seemingly invincible quirk, America’s number one hero has fallen short of the task at hand.
After holding down Shigaraki with her laser attack from the last chapter, she lets go of the rule of combining the lasers and combines the Tiamat missiles coming in from America.
With what looks like an attack straight out of Greek mythology, Star and Stripe attack Shigaraki with State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise Punch, creating a huge crater on the seafloor.
Even with an attack that could probably level a whole city, Shigaraki manages to survive by creating a hole in the seafloor and using a Nomu as a decoy.
He then uses his radiowaves quirk to command the stealth bombers to burst, giving him a clear path to Star and Stripe. The pilot of one of the bombers commands her to crush Shigaraki with him, but she refuses to do so.
This decision costs her, and Shigaraki grabs her face and activates his quirk.
MHA 331: Shigaraki Reveals Secrets of Star and Stripe’s Invincible Quirk
Her decision not to crush Shigaraki with the bomber might bother some people, but she is still a hero at heart and will do anything to protect her friends who stood by her from the beginning.
While this could have ended in favor of the heroes, this result is probably the worst-case scenario for them. Shigaraki is in full control and will probably have her quirk in his arsenal when the final war comes.
