Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir Gets Manga Adaptation

This is for all the young otakus out there. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, the children’s cartoon, will soon receive a manga adaptation!

Many of us might not be used to this cartoon, especially because it had debuted in 2015 and Disney picked it up only in 2019. However, these crime-fighting teen heroes are very popular with children.

The manga adaptation decision of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir was first announced in the Tokyo Comic-Con, held on 6th December. The manga will be serialized in the Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine from its March issue, which will be released in January.

A new visual was also released for the upcoming manga adaptation.

The visual shows glimpses of what the manga would look like. Ladybug and Cat Noir take centre stage in the visual.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is produced by a collaboration of different studios in France, Italy, South Korea, Japan, and Brazil. Toei Animation was the animation studio that collaborated from Japan.

The cartoon is a 3D CG series that first debuted in South Korea in September 2015. It was later launched in France starting October 2015. Nickelodeon launched the series for the US audience in December 2015.

Disney channel picked up the series from April 2019. It has three seasons, which debuted in France in 2015, 2016, and 2019 respectively. A fourth season is slated for debut in September 2021 in France.

Although the cartoon was supposed to be a dialogue on politics, the theme fell through, and the creators had to change the theme to attract a younger audience.

Marinette and Adrien are the two saviors of Paris who are also junior high students. They save the days from villains while also maintaining their everyday lives. The story is filled with magic pets, jewels, mysterious villains,  fashionable characters, and fun with friends and family.
