Yet I’m most looking forward to his reunion with Lan Wangji, and the notorious golden core reveal scene. Thankfully, the new trailers have been released at the perfect timing, and the chemistry between the leading duo is sharp.
Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua’s final season is debuting on 7th August with a total of 12 episodes and will cover the rest of the novel’s plot.
The creators have revealed the perfect trailer ever for the last season:
The trailer starts with the serene lotus lake scenery of Yunmeng and shows Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji from a more peaceful time. Soon, the tempo shifts to the violent action and the thrilling secret of the Yin metal and Nie Mingjue’s fate.
As if the lone trailer wasn’t enough, character trailers of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji have also been revealed. While the final trailer showed the upcoming climax and heated battle scenes, the character trailers are tranquil.
The sight of Lan Wangji taking care of Wei Wuxian is just heart-melting, and did you notice his smile!?
Some of the scenes, like lighting incense in front of ancestors, are the same in both but from different points of view, and it is endearing to see them catching glimpses of each other.
