Who Is The Real Traitor?

Chapter 335 of the manga has confirmed that All for One has planted a spy in the UA High Academy. The idea of a spy among UA was hinted at way back in the initial chapters, but there was no confirmation until now. In the latest chapter, All for One and Shigaraki implied that it could be Toru Hagakure. However, fans didn’t completely believe that it was her, and they were right.

The latest chapter of the manga has finally revealed the UA traitor, and it is none other than The Shining Hero, Yuga Aoyama. Chapter 336 finally shows that the UA traitor is The Shining Hero, Can’t Stop Twinkling. In the chapter titled ‘Villain’, it was revealed that Toru Hagakure follows Aoyama in disguise of her quirk. In the final panel, his name comes out as Brutus.

My Hero Academia: The Real Motives Of The Traitor

My Hero Academia’s latest traitor reveal has finally cleared up the mystery around the spy. But, it has opened up a lot of questions surrounding The Shining Hero. The new chapter, “Villain,” sees Invisible Girl following a distressed Aoyama into the woods. It is there, and she learns that Aoyama was the traitor all along. Hagakure wanted to check on Aoyama, as she felt something off about his behavior.

However, when she finally spots him, Aoyama is in a deep argument with his parents. Hagakure then learns that Aoyama’s parents have made some deal with All for One to get Aoyama his powers. The chapter goes on to explain that Aoyama was born quirkless and was given his quirk in exchange for his servitude to All for One. This isn’t something new to All for One, who has done similar things to get followers in the past.

Moreover, as Aoyama always wanted to become a hero, he confesses that he cannot do it anymore. To which his parents urge him to keep doing it. Thus, it can be assumed that All for One might be threatening the lives of Aoyama’s powers or, worse, threatening Aoyama himself.

Aoyama’s unmasking ties in better with the story than Hagakure. The reveal put many doubts to rest, like how Aoyama always struggled with his quirk. And why he said that he and Deku were similar in many ways. It also reveals why he wasn’t motivated to help find Deku.

However, as Aoyama always wanted to be a hero, this could be his chance. With his secret out, he and the UA heroes could use that as an advantage to mislead the villain league. Or, spy on the villains, something similar to what Hawks did before. Fans will have to wait and see how Aoyama’s story will unwind and if he can finally break out of his deal with the devil.
