Netflix and Wit Studio Present Gravity-Defying Original Anime, Bubble
After several CGI-overloaded series, Netflix has finally started valuing the originality of anime. Its upcoming production is a jaw-dropping collaboration with Wit Studio for an anime film, Bubble.
From sci-fi elements to incredible parkour stunts, Bubble has everything a young adult audience desires. Add to it the ingenuity of beautiful animation, and it has the potential of breaking box office records.
A new original anime by Wit Studio titled Bubble will premiere on Netflix on April 28, 2022. It will also be released in Japanese theaters on May 13.
Netflix has revealed an English subbed trailer for the upcoming anime:
The trailer gives us the film’s plot. It has a queer premise where gravity-defying bubbles have rained down on Tokyo. Hibiki, the anime’s protagonist, jumps on these bubbles and pulls off daredevil stunts.
The twist is when he encounters a girl with special powers, and they discover that both of them can hear a specific sound calling to them.
A new visual also shows Uta holding onto one of the bubbles.
The trailer and visual both portray Tokyo and another sunken city. Are the protagonists from two parallel worlds?
