‘Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement’ is another isekai whose title gives out the entire plot. The only thing that makes it different from others is that its protagonist, Mitsuha, is able to travel between both worlds.
Switching between the real world and the one they were thrown into is something an isekai main character can only wish for. Naturally, Mitsuha became a peculiar isekai lead who didn’t gain a power that makes her omnipotent but got a practical one instead.
Given Mitsuha’s unique ability, the plot itself becomes interesting enough to gain people’s attention and is now slated for a TV anime.
The latest teaser for ‘Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement’ has confirmed that the anime will be out in January 2023. It means that we will have another isekai anime shoved into our faces after two months.
The video follows Mitsuha and how she got caught up in this isekai mess. She got involved with some delinquents, which led her to fall off a cliff, and into a European fantasy world.
While her loved ones are in mourning, Mitsuha discovers that she has the ability to travel between both dimensions. However, she has to be discreet when coming back to the real world because she’s dead, and people would freak out (as if being isekai-d is a big secret there).
Taking advantage of this ability, Mitsuha calculates that she needs 80,000 gold coins, or almost 2 billion yen, to retire.
Mitsuha gets into many dangerous situations in fantasy, like being chased by a pack of wolves and more. After going through near-death experiences multiple times, the heroine also begins gathering allies and forming friendships for protection.
Additionally, the franchise has revealed that Rika Nagae has been cast as Mitsuha for the anime. Rika has previously played Hinata Hoshino in ‘WATATEN!’ and Baselard in ‘Frame Arms Girl.’

Although she plans to collect wealth and retire peacefully, we all know it will not be so easy. Mitsuha will get entangled in a bigger plot that will lead her to save the world or both of them.
