New ‘Lupin Zero’ Prequel Anime Trailer Reveals More Cast
We’ve seen a lot of Lupin throughout the years, but not much about who he is or where he came from. As a result, the brand decided to create a prequel series titled ‘Lupin Zero,’ which takes us back to the origins of this world-class thief.
Lupin was a trouble-making high school youngster who was always up to some antics long before he became a brilliant criminal.
Lupin has been renowned and wicked since he was a child, according to a new trailer for the ‘Lupin Zero’ net anime series. The series will consist of six episodes and will have its international release on December 16, 2022.
Lupin was born into a family of known and infamous criminals, thus it was only natural for him to enter the world of crime and stealing. His father, Lupin II, and grandpa, Lupin III, were both well-known for their notoriety, which Lupin III inherited.
The teaser depicts Lupin as a high school student who is uninterested in education and a decent job. During his school days, Lupin also meets his best friend and right-hand man, Daisuke Jigen. The two begin as rivals but eventually become buddies and one of the world’s most sought criminals.
Furthermore, the video introduces Yoko, who will play an important role in the plot. The cast for her, as well as others, has been revealed by the franchise, and they are as follows:

Aside from a stellar cast, the video teases the anime’s opening and closing theme music. Takeo Yamashita composed the OP, “AFRO”LUPIN’68,” while Tavito Nanao composed the ED, “Lupin Sanse Shudaika II” (Lupin III Theme Song II).
Yamashita’s OP music is inspired by the original theme song from the Lupin the Third anime series from 1971.
