The anime is set in a world where humans coexist with supernatural creatures, spirits, and demons referred to as ‘Kemono.’ The dark and mature theme underneath each character sets it apart from other shonen series.
On Saturday, a stage presentation at the Jump Festa ’21 revealed a new promotional video for Kemono Jihen’s anime adaptation. The series will premiere on TOKYO MX on January 10, 2021.
The promotional video is a perfect introduction to the world where the anime sets in, and the mixed feelings that the anime is expected to offer the viewers.
The video features some of the heart-rending scenes from the anime. Kabane Kusaka, the protagonist, is seen fighting a frog-like creature. We also get to see a glimpse of his ‘Kemono’ form for a split-second.
The previously released PV has already introduced us to the Inugami Detective Agency members.

With no news on the episode list, we should expect the animation studio to adapt at least the manga’s first five volumes to pack the story with enough oomph!

The anime is expected to blend detective fiction with horror and supernatural elements. Can Inugami, the occult detective, solve the mystery behind the death of animals in the forest? Are all these incidents somehow connected to Dorotabou?
We need to wait just a few more weeks before the franchise starts giving us answers with each episode.

About Kemono Jihen
The story is set in a world where human beings coexist with beings called Kemono, who are supernatural creatures, spirits, and demons. But war breaks out between these two species.
A long time after the war, the story brings us to a remote village where dead animals mysteriously start appearing.
This phenomenon brings Inugami, an investigator from Tokyo, to the village to identify its cause. There he meets a mysterious young boy in the village, a boy called Dorotabou, who is not human.
