So about Joyboy. Is this a reincarnation? Or is this a title being passed down? Readers mostly want to avoid the overused reincarnation trope. What they seek is something unique. And then, Luffy being Joyboy makes a lot of sense.
He is the destined one. But that said, it goes against his search for freedom. He will forever be bound by the chains of destiny.

One Piece Chapter 1044 raw scans are supposed to be released on March 23rd, 2022. You might just find them on shonenjumpplus app. However, their original location is the pages of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine due for next to next week.
But these are Japanese scans. What you are looking for is the English version. Scanlation teams will provide us with the English fan scans within March 25, 2022. You have to Google for these. However, they are usually low quality.

- But his shirt is now white instead of black.
- Kaidou says that what happened earlier was stupid and he is sorry.

One Piece Chapter 1044 Theories And Predictions
This has got to be one of the best chapters of the Wano arc. While it doesn’t have much screentime for Luffy, it is incredibly rich in lore and hypes us up infinitely about the upcoming revelations.
Maybe One Piece 1044 spoilers will dive deeper into the lore and reveal some of these mysteries that we have waited years to find out, and also answer if Luffy is Joyboy.
Is the rooftop battle over?
For the third time, Luffy lost to Kaido. While we are pretty sure that the next fight is coming soon, we must admit, the look on Kaido’s face shows his pain. Kaido is a man who seeks to enjoy himself in combat.
Unfortunately, only a handful of people are strong enough to match him.
Luffy is one of this handful who has gone toe to toe with him. And if Kaido had won this fair and square, he would be jubilant. Unfortunately, we see that Luffy is hit lethally while he’s distracted. And Kaido was in no position to stop that attack.
The air escapes Luffy and he falls! We should notice that his eyes are blackish. The glare he had when he lost, is gone. And that means he has lost for real this time.
Kaido is saddened about this unfair win and he simply slides downstairs to announce his victory.
Last time, Kaido said that he will bring Luffy’s head to show it around – that will break the spirit of the opposition. Back then, Luffy had fallen down. However this time, Luffy is on the dome and Kaido can parade his powerless body around. But, the Yonko doesn’t do it.
This is clearly because Kaido is unable to cope with his victory and he won’t flourish it to the world. He knows that he doesn’t deserve to do so. One Piece Chapter 1044 will probably show him face off against the last attack of the Alliance.
What happened to the CP-0 agent?
The boss of the CP0 interrupted the fight at the key moment and changed the outcome drastically. Every bit of Kaido’s wrath falls on him and he knew that.
Silently, he accepted a devastating blow from the Yonko. His subordinate can do nothing but watch his fall.
Chances are, he is just injured. But maybe, just maybe, Kaido has actually killed him. Kaido has no use for him as a slave and hence, should have no problems ending his life.

Kidd and Law are shocked by the news and Law realizes that Luffy’s voice has disappeared! Chopper cries and Nami yells in disbelief. It is Marco who saves Nami from Kaido.
Kaido is angered that the spirit of the opposition is still left. Hence, he speaks his mind. One Piece 1044 spoilers will show if the Samurai will make another attempt to defy Kaido.
As for Kidd and Law, their subordinates are busy protecting them from the reinvigorated beast pirates. Kidd and Law are forced to get up once more. Now, they will have to fend off many more enemies.
What is Kaido’s plan?
Kaido releases his new order. Onigashima is to land on the Flower Capital. And this will be the beginning of Wano’s suffering. Unlike Orochi’s reign, Kaido won’t give space or freedom to anyone. Wano will only be his weapons factory and the Samurai will be slaves for life.
He has won the war. It is his right to take prisoners and treat them however he wants. This is the price of opposing him! Slowly, the Samurai start to fear the inevitable. Fear overcomes them as Kaido asks for Momonosuke’s surrender.
We then see Momonosuke. Just like a real leader, he values the lives of his people. Knowing that he can’t do anything to Kaido, the child wonders if surrendering is better.
At least that way, the people won’t have to die. One Piece Manga 1044 will show what he does next.
It is Yamato who sets him straight. She says that slavery is literally worse than death. She says how Wano has suffered for 20 years. And this is the battle to decide everything. Everyone must fight with all of their strength. They either win or die fighting!
What is Zuneisha saying?
Zunesha tells Momo that he can hear the Drums of Liberation after 20 years! This means Joyboy has returned! And then, in the final panel, we see Luffy with a quiet smile! And his body is somehow being different.
So it suggests that Luffy is Joyboy!
Along with the strawhat, his face is coming out in protrusions.
One Piece 1044 spoilers will tell us what new change is happening in Luffy. The most obvious answer is that he has awakened the Gomu Gomu no Mi at last. We will see soon.
He is smiling and the SFX ‘Nika’ is used. Is this a connection to the sun god Nika?
