The golden week is going on in Japan. Unfortunately, One Piece Chapter 1048 is on a break this week.
Ah, starting the discussion with such bad news simply ruins the mood! Due to the Golden Week Celebrations this week, Shueisha is taking a break.
This celebration takes place every year. And every year, we find a break. The workers get a chance to relax. Basically in this 1 week, there are 4 public holidays!
This is not an author break, this is a magazine break. One Piece and all other titles will be delayed. But there is some good news as well.
The delay might be there, but we will be getting early spoilers. Whenever there is a magazine break, we do receive spoilers ahead of time.
So, fans have something to look forward to.
One Piece Chapter 1048 Break Announcement
We expect the spoilers of One Piece 1048 around 28th April 2022. These might be accompanied by some raw scans too but we can’t be sure about that. The chapter will be scanlated and we might get the fan scans before the weekends.
However, that means the week after that, we will receive nothing but the official scans.
So let us get the timeline cleared up before One Piece Chapter 1048 official release:
- Around 28th April, we get the leaks.
- Before the month ends, the English fan translations might just be released.
- On 8th May 2022, the official English scans of One piece 1048 will be out.
- The week after, things will be normal again.
Artwork Discussion
While we wait for the One Piece 1048 Reddit spoilers and raw scans, let’s talk about the ongoing artwork in the series.
The new artwork has brought up a small issue. Initially, Luffy’s dress was drawn with black ink. So against the white background, he always stood out. The whole time, we had a clear idea of what Luffy is doing.
The black dress really made him noticeable to us.
Think about it. Luffy is small, his opponents are huge. The world is immense and Oda sensei uses small panels to fit in more info. However, this black and white color scheme always keep Luffy noticeable.
However, now that Gear 5 has been made into a white design, that prominence is gone. Against the white background, the white design of Luffy won’t be that noticeable. However, this might be something pre-planned by Oda sensei.
And the solution lies in Blackbeard, or maybe in Darkness. With the power of Darkness, our villain will turn the panels black-ish. And when that happens, Luffy’s Gear 5 will be perfectly visible. It basically a reversal of the color scheme!
Luffy’s future fights might take place at night time and that would accentuate his white form greatly! Quite an impressive thing noticed.

A small possibility
Momonosuke has the job to hold the island up. If it plummets to the ground, countless people will die a horrible death. However, even at the twelve-th hour, we believe the future shogun will fail.
As of now, he still can’t produce the flame cloud. So how will be master their usage, enough to hold up an island?
There is a theory that he will use the flame from the lanterns to make clouds. The lanterns should have reached the skies by now. And using their small flames, Momo might do the needful.
While this is just a small possibility, it is a very beautiful idea. The point of this festival was to honor the deal. And if it contributes to the survival of thousands, it will be a grand success.
If a large, reddish dragon actually manages to produce the flame clouds, the people will be able to see it properly. And when that Dragon turns out to be an adult Momonosuke, instead of Kaido, he will instantly gain the favor of the citizens.
The old people will probably recognize his exceeding similarity to Oden. And that will usher in change. The people will realize that their days of slavery are about to end. The Dawn of Wano has arrived.
