So as you all guessed, and read on the title, the One Piece Manga Chapter 981 Spoilers have finally been released for everyone to read.
Given the spoilers, we have a very strong feeling that #onepiece981 will be trending on twitter, just like #onepiece980, #onepiece978, and so on. The incredible revelations of these chapters are key pieces in moving the Wano arc forward.
Marco the Phoenix has always been a fan favorite. He is the only character besides Luffy, who faced the 3 Marine Admirals in the Marineford War and survived. He did appear in the Wano arc, but his arrival was not anticipated by many. We, however, did mention the return of Marco in our One Piece theory article!
Apoo, who has been the pinnacle of one piece discussions in the last 2 weeks has some key moments. We saw Apoo injuring Borsalino and then we saw him injure Luffy and Zoro. In fact, our two heroes were powerless against him.
So after Kid punched Apoo, Apoo is down for good or did Kid’s attack had no effect on him? All has been finally revealed in the One Piece Manga 981 spoilers and here they are for you to read.
One Piece Manga Chapter 981 Spoilers:
In the last chapter, we saw Kidd attacking Apoo with Punk Gibson. In One Piece 981, Apoo has survived that attack but sustained damage. Kidd goes on to berate Apoo for his betrayal. They fight even more.
Betrayal has always been the reason for a lot of animosity and conflict. We saw that Kidd is extremely angry at Apoo. It was due to Apoo’s betrayal that Kidd had his arm chopped off, Killer became deranged after eating a SMILE fruit and the crew suffered as well. They are duking it out quite early in the war.
According to Kidd, Apoo’s attack range is the distance one can hear a sound.
This makes a lot of sense – Apoo is a sound-based attacker. So when a person fails to hear the sound, the attack should be useless. That is why Luffy and Zoro could not defend against it, even though they knew it is coming.
Number Hacha appears and his laugh goes ‘Hachachacha’
The Numbers in Kaido’s crew have always been an interesting presence. They appeared during Oden’s execution and chased after his retainers. They have a menacing presence and fans have hyped them a lot. However, so far we have only seen silhouettes. One Piece Manga 981 finally shows us Number Hacha. He is probably Number 8, Hacha being similar to Japanese word ‘Hachi’, meaning Eight.
Flying Six member Who’s Who sets out to find Yamato.
We have already theorized before that there is some sort of history and rivalry between Queen and Who’s Who. Since Kaido promised that whomever finds his son, Yamato will have a chance to fight and replace an All Star, Who’s Who is the first one to move out. He gathers his men and searches for Yamato in One Piece 981.
Kinemon’s Group casually passes Black Maria’s residence as it is seemingly empty. However, they encounter Big Mom. Chopper, hiding in the tank, has direct eye contact with her.
We finally get to see one of the rebel wings. Kinemon is leading one wing and Denjiro is leading the other. Turns out Black Maria has a house in Onigashima, which isn’t necessarily surprising. Maybe this huge woman have some sort of knowledge about that gigantic sword which we saw outside the Skull Cave in Onigashima.
Kaido said earlier that Big Mom is getting ready for the festival, changing into a kimono. She is doing so in Black Maria’s place and here Chopper meets her eye. Chopper had accompanied Big Mom in her amnesia state. She probably does not remember him but on the off chance that she does, it can go very wrong, very soon for Kinemon’s group.
Marco stands in the way of the Big Mom pirates. He does not let them climb the waterfall. Along with him, Nekomamushi and Izo appear as well.
Whether the Whitebeard Pirates would arrive at Wano was always a point of discussion among fans. It still is; for all we know, they are scattered and might not regroup to reach Wano in time. However, Marco will have a part in the upcoming battles and that is a very big deal. Marco is a terribly strong individual and can handle a lot of strong members in Kaido’s crew.
Nekomamushi was supposed to arrive sooner but better late than never. He has succeeded in coercing Marco to join. We might get a flash back later to understand why Marco changed his mind about joining. Izo arriving is a great addition to the rebels as well. He is the brother of O-Kiku and as a member of Whitebeard’s crew, he is definitely very strong.
The fact that Marco prevented the Big Mom Pirates from climbing can drastically affect the war. If these pirates are busy regrouping and climbing again, the Kaido-Linlin alliance will lose a lot of its strength. Smoothie, Daifuku and so are strong characters and them joining the war would make it so much more difficult for Luffy to win.
