The show wears its western, cowboy-esque inspiration on its sleeve with a revenge plot to boot, and the saga of Xabungle is no less than Django.

With industry veteran Yoshiyuki Tomino, who later worked on Gundam, the series has been coveted as an anime cornerstone.

Due to which it’s not surprising that fans still talk about the anime.

Japanese Broadcasters B12 announced that the compilation film Xabungle Graffiti, of the original Combat Mecha Xabungle anime, will air at 7 pm on 13th June 2021.

The film will be part of the broadcaster’s “Sunday Animation Theatre.”

The story follows Jiron Amos as he sets on a revenge quest against the murders of his father. However, after joining the rag-tag crew known as the Sand rats, our hero understands that the fate of the entire world is at stake.  

Jiron, who now pilots the blue mecha Xabungle, must act to save his world.

The broadcaster has promoted the movie as the reconstruction of the 1982 Combat Mecha Xabungle anime series and highlighted that the film has a different ending than the original TV series.

The film has some of anime’s most eminent staff and directors, and it’s a celebration of the entire mecha genre. The old fans will have a blast catching the show back on TV.

The international fans will not be able to watch the telecast, though there might be a local seller who has the Blu-ray release of the anime.

About Combat Mecha Xabungle

Combat Mecha Xabungle is a mecha anime television series created by Sunrise and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino. There was also a compilation movie made called Xabungle Graffiti, which included new footage and a different ending to the series.

Zora was an outlaw planet where they had a rule that one could own stolen things if he could run away keeping it for three days.
