Reveal of Two-Part Anime Film Promo for ‘CollarxMalice -Deep Cover-‘
Idea Factory’s Otomate brand is responsible for the development and publishing of the video game CollarxMalice, a visual novel. The compelling narrative and thriller-mystery genre have helped the show skyrocket in popularity since it debuted in 2016.
The plot centers on Ichika Hoshino, who is attacked and has a poisoned collar placed around her neck as she returns home from doing her duty. Afterward, she gets mixed up in the “X-Day Incident,” a series of killings committed by the terrorist organization Adonis.
CollarxMalice was eventually revealed to be a two-part movie. After the announcements, some teasers, crucial imagery, and information about the staff and cast were released. But that’s not the end of the good news.
Two full trailers have been released for Gekijban CollarMalice Deep Cover, the two-part theatrical anime adaptation of the Collar x Malice game. Both movies will debut in theaters on their respective dates of May 26 and June 23.

Deep Cover, Part 2: Gekijoban Collar x Malice
Collar x Malice Deep Cover, a two-part anime film produced by Otomate (a brand of Idea Factory), is based on the company’s otome visual novel game of the same name. It’s a story unfolding parallel to the X-Day Incident.
In the 2016 game, rookie Shinjuku police officer Ichika Hoshino is the victim of an assault in which her assailants choke her with a poisoned collar. Later, she becomes connected with a group of ex-cops looking into the X-Day Incident, a terrorist group responsible for a string of murders.
