Rurouni Kenshin Final Movie’s Trailer Shows Vengeful Tomoe Against Kenshin

Rurouni Kenshin Saishusho: The Beginning is the fifth and final movie in the famous “Rurouni Kenshin” live-action film series. The franchise has captivated the imagination of the audience through its emotional storyline and well-choreographed samurai sword fights.

Fans will get to watch the legendary assassin Himura Kenshin on the big screen for one last time! The film will finally reveal the mysterious past of Kenshin. Are you ready to handle the dark past of the feared assassin?

The official website of Rurouni Kenshin released the full-length trailer of the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin Saishusho: The Beginning live-action movie, which will be released on June 4th.

The video is almost two minutes long and shows all the film’s primary characters, including Kenshin, Tomoe, Katsura, and Yukishiro.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of what the film is about. Kenshin’s past and his relationship with Yukishiro Tomoe are the central elements of the upcoming movie.

The film will focus on how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar. In the original manga, author Nobuhiro Watsuki had designed the scar on Kenshin’s face without creating its origin story.

Twenty-seven years after the character’s first appearance, fans will finally learn about the distinctive scar!

The theme song of Rurouni Kenshin Saishusho: The Beginning can also be heard in the trailer. Performed by ONE OK ROCK, the piece is titled “Renegades.”

The movie was jointly produced with the already released Rurouni Kenshin Saishusho: The Final. Keishi Otomo returns to direct the film while the cast and crew from the fourth film reprise their roles. Kasumi Arimura plays the role of Kenshin’s wife, Yukishiro Tomoe.

Earlier, Warner Bros. Pictures (Japan) had released a shorter version of the full-length trailer. It had hyped up the fans, and after the release of the fourth film, the excitement has skyrocketed!

We hope that the final film of the franchise lives up to the expectations of the fans. We will find out more about Kenshin’s past and his iconic scar when the film hits theatres on July 4!

About Rurouni Kenshin

It is a Japanese manga series penned and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1994 to 1999. A TV anime adaptation was also broadcast to 1996 to 1998, and it even has an anime film along with numerous video projects.

The English manga version was published by Viz Media, and the English anime version was released by Media Blasters.

The story revolves around a former assassin who, after going against the feudal government, changed his name to Himura Kenshin and changed into a wandering swordsman who protects the people of Japan. He made a vow to never take another life.
