Syfy Shares Sneak Peek Of Alien Drama Resident Alien
After a year of delay, Syfy is finally releasing the science-fiction drama, Resident Alien. Although no specific date is provided by the cable network, the series is expected to be released in January 2021. In the 2020 New York Comic Con Panel, Syfy announced the new alien drama by sharing a sneak peek of the series – the first seven minutes of the pilot episode.
The sneak peek video shows Alan Tudyk’s character, Harry Vanderspeigle, as a marooned alien who is moonlighting as an introverted doctor in a small town called Patience. He has crashed on Earth and he has a mission – to destroy humanity. But when he has to help the sheriff in solving a murder in the town, he begins to question his duty.
Alan Tudyk has been part of some amazing science fiction projects in the last few years. It started with Hoban ‘Wash’ Washburne in Firefly and its spin-off Serenity; in recent years he has starred in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the smash hit Doom Patrol. He will be a treat to watch in what seems to be a fun sci-fi adventure. Along with him, Resident Alien will also feature Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, and Levi Fiehler.
The series is based on a Dark Horse comic series written by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. The comic has five miniseries with a sixth one on its way. If the television show receives positive reactions, there are high chances that it will be renewed for a couple more seasons.
