Take a First Look at Richter Belmont in ‘Castlevania: Nocturne’ Teaser
In a bittersweet ending, Castlevania said its final goodbye to fans in 2021, leaving them with the hope that the series will return.
Not much later, Netflix announced a spin-off series featuring a Belmont descendant in an entirely new era. The only thing that remains constant in both series is Alucard and a lot of monster-hunting by a Belmont.
So we can safely say that it will be another memorable anime from the franchise.
Netflix has revealed a teaser for Castlevania: Nocturne that gives us a glimpse of the new Belmont protagonist, Richter. As expected, fans have been going out of their minds over it.
The teaser has a menacing vibe as we get a look at Richter standing in an abandoned seaport as he recounts some crucial words and warnings from people.
It gives us a closer look at the details, like Richter’s weapon and the Belmont logo on his back. As we get closer to Richter’s figure, someone calls out his name alarmingly, and he turns his head towards the screen with a fierce look in his eyes.
Till now, we know that Richter Belmont is a descendant of Trevor and Sypha, protagonists of the original Castlevania series. Along with him, the spin-off also features a distant relative of the Belmonts, Maria Renard, a 12-year-old girl and Richter’s adoptive sister.
Moreover, the premise is set during the French Revolution, a period of radical political and societal change in France. With so many exciting factors, one can only imagine how sensational and dramatic the spin-off will be.
Netflix Entices Us with New Castlevania Spinoff Set in French Revolution
Waiting for the spin-off seems frustrating with no release date to look forward to, but since Netflix has a habit of releasing the entire season at once, we won’t have to wait for a whole week for a new episode.
Netflix may screw up many anime series, but at least it doesn’t drive us insane with weekly releases.
