In the previous episode, we saw that Maomao was feeling relaxed on her little three-day homecoming but trouble seems to find its way to her somehow. She was doing the usual thing but then a little girl from the pleasure district knocked on her door and asked for immediate assistance. She then got to know that a couple was poisoned by someone but things were not that serious and Maomao was able to save them.
She then tried to investigate the scene and deduced various things but was not able to reach a certain conclusion. She then asked for her father’s help and he told her some angles she was not aware of. She then noticed that the little girl who brought her here was acting suspiciously and when she followed she found out that she was about to stab that man to death with a knife.
Maomao then asked some questions and came to know that the rich man is famous for playing with women and he did the same thing to the little girl’s sister and she wanted revenge on him. Maomao then deduced that the woman who was with the man might have planned all this by creating a two-layered drink – one with poison and one normal drink and used a straw to drink it.
She then drank some of the poisoned drink so that it would look like she was poisoned too. After these events things went to normal and her homecoming trip came to an end. She was then summoned by Jinshi who was disappointed and then soon things went pretty weird when Maomao talked about the favor.
