‘The Banished Former Hero Lives’ Novels Get an Anime Adaptation
Some readers may view “The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases” as just another hero’s rebirth tale. The fact that the hero has no interest in regaining his former grandeur makes it stand out. He hopes to settle down in a quiet, out-of-the-way spot.
The trek proves to be lengthy, as he encounters more monsters along the route. His noble quest therefore continues despite his wishes to the contrary.
‘The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases’ anime was unveiled on Tuesday, and the major staff members were revealed on the official website. The website and teaser image both went live on the same day.
Allen, our hero, is depicted above, sword in hand, making his way through a grassy field. The sun rises behind him, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in his life away from his own land.
The voice actors, with one notable exception, remain largely unknown. Allen’s voice actor is Shta Aoi. Aoi’s most well-known roles are as the villainous Gerald Stewart in “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!” and the heroic Yu-yu Kondo in “Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress”.
Shin Kozuki and Chocoan collaborate on “The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases”, a series of light novels. The protagonist is a man who had a prior life as a hero but was not endowed with any special talent when he reached adulthood. Everyone looks down on him and his family has disowned him because of his failure.
Light novel artist Chocoan posted a drawing in response to the news.

I’m not very interested in the story at the moment. Allen is not a remarkable character for any reason. It all boils down to the growth and development of the characters, as the plot setting isn’t particularly original.
The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases
Shin Kozuki and Chocoan collaborated on a light book series titled The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases (Dekisokonai to Yobareta Moto Eiyū wa, Jikka kara Tsuihōsareta node Suki Katte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita).
Allen has visions of himself in a heroic role. When he was younger, everyone thought he was brilliant, but as an adult, he was cursed. Since then, he’s been shunned by his noble family and the rest of society, and was ultimately exiled. Allen has decided to settle down and have a quiet, ordinary life for once.
