The Original One-Shot “Burn the Witch #0.8” Receives Anime Adaptation
The 23rd episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc was exciting, and before the adrenaline could wear off, fans were bombarded with exhilarating news about the Burn the Witch #0.8 series.
This excellent spin-off film of Tite Kubo was acclaimed by many fans worldwide. The movie was initially released in 2020. However, the original one-shot of the series was never adapted.
Fans were eager for the adaptation of the original one-shot, and Kubo delivered the news in the most thrilling way possible.
Here’s everything you need to know about this new prequel series.
Following the Japanese premiere of the 10th episode of the second part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War The Separation arc, a teaser has been released for a new Burn The Witch anime adaptation.
The brief 30-second teaser features the main factors for the prequel: Noel Niihashi and her senior, Ninny Spangcole. There is also a narration about Dark Dragons, who are formed by absorbing the negative emotions of humans.
Many fans are glad Studio Colorido, the same studio for the original series, works on the prequel as their style fits very well with the “Burn the Witch” series.
Burn the Witch #0.8 will be produced by the same staff members who made the previous Burn the Witch anime adaptations. The cast from the last anime adaptations will also return unchanged.
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Ninny Spangcole | Asami Tano | Love Live! Sunshine!! (Sarah Kazuno) |
Noel Niihashi | Yuina Yamada | Anima Yell! (Hizume Arima) |
Balgo Parks | Shimba Tsuchiya | Bakuten (Shōtarō Futaba) |
Chief | Hiroaki Hirata | Claymore (Horikita) |
Osushi-chan | Rie Hikisaka | To Your Eternity(March) |
This spin-off series focuses on the soul-society of the West, which is an interesting set-up. Every Bleach/Burn the Witch fan should watch it because the one-shot explains stuff that wasn’t explained in the other chapters/the anime.
And if someone who never watched Burn the Witch is reading this, I would probably recommend waiting for this 0.8 thing, then watching it first, and then watching Burn the Witch from 2020. That way, you would be following the original chronological order of the story.
