The World’s Finest Assassin is currently a hit among many isekai fans and it’s even trending number 1 in Netflix Japan. The source material itself by Rui Tsukiyo is beautifully written and so far, the anime series is holding up well and amassing a lot of fans. The plot follows an ace assassin who gets reincarnated as Lugh Tuatha Dé by a goddess into a whole new world of magic. The reason for his reincarnation is so that he can use his skills to save the world from the Hero and defeat him.
The previous episode was a solid, fun episode. It did a good job tying up the loose ends with Maya’s friends and giving their story a heartwarming conclusion of sorts and also a new peaceful beginning after everything they went through.
We also get to see that Lugh’s character is not entirely the calculating machine he wants to be, as Tarte commented. We see his humanity in him hiring Maha’s friends, his interaction with Dia and he’s also not immune to Maha and Tarte. Curious about World’s Finest Assassin Episode 8? Look no more. Recap of The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7
Episode 7 titled ‘Life of Falsehood’, begins with Beruid looking better as Lugh has performed a surgery on him. His father praises Lugh’s skill and Lugh replies that he doesn’t need to thank him since Beruid is after all, his stepbrother. Also, we see that Maha is officially now Lugh’s adopted sister under the name Maha Balor.
Lugh’s father asks him to handle one of his shops and to come up with a plan on which product to sell. Lugh returns home and tells Maha and Tarte of his plan to make a shop that targets women. His first goal is to make money and second to please the nobles as that would be helpful for his real job: assassination.
Within two days, Lugh shows up with the prototype product. His father is impressed but his mother is skeptical and dismissive of him. This all changes though when he reveals his product which he calls ‘Milky Lotion’. He knows that the concept of moisturizer for the skin is not yet known to the people in this world and uses it to his advantage.

The mother is visibly very impressed and takes the bottle of lotion for herself, assuring the others that there’d be no woman who won’t want the product. The secret ingredient is lecithin which Lugh acquires from Tuatha Dé but he plans to not disclose this information to Balor company to protect himself.
Cut to the next scene, Orna, Lugh’s cosmetics shop has achieved so much popularity in half a year he’s even received invitations from neighbouring princesses and the Malteu Lord. The part where Maha and her friends are shown working at the shop is so wholesome because they get to live normal lives now after what they went through.
Also, Orna’s growing success means that competitors are making their attempts to steal Lugh’s production method. At night, one such spy is caught by Maha and Tarte and they torture him under Lugh’s supervision. The goddess segment with the lyrical murder in this episode was again really entertaining and hilarious.
We also get some really nice moments when Lugh goes for his monthly meet up with Dia. She shows him new magic to reverse gravity and he seems genuinely impressed and even says that he’s respected her for a long time now.
