1. Cardcaptor Sakura (1998)

Sakura Kinomoto was a normal fourth grader until the day she opened a strange book and threw dozens of powerful magic cards into the world. Keroberos, the Clow Card Keeper, informs Sakura that it is now her responsibility to find and capture the released cards. However, to Sakura’s dismay, things are not going to be easy … more Sakura Kinomoto was a normal fourth grader until the day she opened a strange book and threw dozens of powerful magic cards into the world. Keroberos, the Clow Card Keeper, informs Sakura that it is now her responsibility to find and capture the released cards. However, to Sakura’s dismay, things will not be easy for her; Simply saying magic words and waving your wand is not enough. Each card is a living, thinking, extremely powerful being. You will have to learn to cope with your new responsibilities, as well as common problems related to love, school, family, and friends. With the support of her friend Tomoyo and a boy with her own powers, she must learn to use her newly awakened magical abilities to collect each card and avoid the disaster that will happen to the world if she does not.

NOTE:- I CREATED THIS CATEGORY FOR SEVERAL REASONS: ONE, BOTH ATTRACT VERY YOUNG AUDIENCES; TWO, THEY BOTH HAVE ADORABLE AND SATISFYING ENDINGS (JUST A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE MANGA’S ORIGINAL PLOT); AND THREE, LI SYAORAN AND KANATA ARE VERY SIMILAR (IN FACT, MY KIND OF CHILDREN IF I WERE THEIR AGE). THE STORIES ARE CUTE, AND I LOVE THEM BOTH EQUALLY, THOUGH THERE WAS MORE DEPTH TO CARDCAPTOR SAKURA THAN DAA! DAA! DAA! IT IS ADORABLE IN ITS OWN WAY AND IS IDEAL IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO FEEL GOOD TO SEE.

Shojo Anime

4. Skip Beat (2008)

Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so that she could help him achieve his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs, and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but receives nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then, one day, she shows up without notifying her agency with a delivery, and hears him talk about her; She reveals to her manager that he only took her with her as a maid, and that he doesn’t want her at all. Hearing this, Kyoko doesn’t just sit and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and her attitude, and thus begins her journey to join the show business and take revenge on Sho.

3. Kimi ni Todoke (2009)

Kuronuma Sawako is the perfect heroine … for a horror movie. With her jet black hair, sinister smile, and silent demeanor, she is often mistaken for the haunting character in the movie Sadako. But behind its terrifying facade is a very misunderstood teenager. Too shy to fit in, all she wants to do is make friends. But when a popular boy of her class becomes friends with her, he will surely do more than that: he is also about to make enemies.

2. Ouran High School Host Club (2006)

Haruhi is a poor butch student at a school for very rich people, he can attend because of a scholarship, and he can’t even afford a uniform. One day, he stumbles upon the Ouran Host Club, decidedly quirky but very popular. She tries to leave, but accidentally breaks a vase, and being unable to pay, she is told that she will have to stay and do odd jobs. That is, until they decide that she would be more valuable as a member of the club. Without realizing that she is a woman due to her appearance, they fix her up and give her a male uniform. She is an instant success, so they decide to keep the charade even after discovering the truth. Haruhi, being an almost guilty average, doesn’t know what to do with the unconventional activities of the Host Club (or even more unconventional members), but having few options, he keeps going. In no time, real bonds are formed, friends are made, and Haruhi is accepted in a way that could never have been otherwise in this affluent school.

1. Lovely Complex (2007)

Based on a Nakahara Aya Shoujo manga, serialized in Margaret, they always laugh at Risa and Ootani as the comedy duo. Risa, a girl, is taller than the average girl, and Ootani, a boy, is shorter than the average boy. The two are always arguing and even their teacher sees them as an act of comedy. But as their friendship develops, so do Risa’s feelings for Ootani.

NOTE:- THESE TITLES WERE GROUPED TOGETHER BECAUSE THEIR STORIES ARE BASED ON SCHOOL LIFE, FRIENDSHIP, AND, OF COURSE, ROMANCE. SKIP BEAT EXPLORES SHOW BUSINESS LIFE, WHILE OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB GIVES US A NOT-SO-TYPICAL GLIMPSE INTO THE LIFE OF THE HOST CLUB: THE SHAPE OF RICH KIDS. THE NUMBER OF EPISODES PER SEASON IS ONLY AROUND 25 EPISODES (MORE OR LESS). LOVELY COMPLEX AND KIMI NO TODOKE DISCUSS THE HIGH SCHOOL LIFE EXPERIENCE.

BOTH THE MANGA AND ANIME ADAPTATION OF LOVELY COMPLEX HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED. EVERYONE IS STILL WAITING FOR A SECOND SEASON OF OURAN BECAUSE THE MANGA ENDED A LONG TIME AGO. HOWEVER, THE SKIP BEAT AND KIMI NI TODOKE MANGA CHAPTERS ARE COMING OUT AT SUCH A SLOW AND PAINFUL PACE THAT I DON’T EXPECT A NEW RELEASE OF THE SEASON ANYTIME SOON.

THE FIRST THREE (OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB, LOVELY COMPLEX, AND SKIP BEAT ARE ROMANTIC COMEDY SERIES), WHILE KIMI NI TODOKE IS A LIGHT DRAMA ANIME SERIES.

Female Anime

3. Kuragehime (2011)

The story centers on Kurashita Tsukimi, a huge jellyfish fanatic, who moves to Tokyo to become an illustrator. She moves into Amamizukan, an apartment complex that is filled with fujoshi with a rule that does not allow men. However, one day, Tsukimi invites a classy and elegant woman to stay in her room in Amamizukan, only to discover that the guest is not who she seems to be.

2. Chihayafuru (2011)

All her life, Chihaya’s dream was to see her model sister become the best in Japan … That is, until a quiet and unassuming transfer student named Arata tells her otherwise. Explain that a dream is something you need to work alone. Arata plays a competitive version of a traditional Japanese card game, known as Hyakunin Isshu, in a Chihay way … more All his life, Chihaya’s dream was to see his model sister become the best in Japan … It is Say, even a quiet and unassuming transfer student named Arata tells you otherwise. Explain that a dream is something she needs to work on herself. Arata plays a competitive version of a traditional Japanese card game, known as Hyakunin Isshu, in a way that Chihaya had never seen before. After taking Arata’s place in a game, Chihaya discovers that he is passionate about her. Now Chihaya wants to become number one in the world, the Queen of Karuta

1. Nodame Cantabile (2007)

At a premier music academy in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki’s arrogance is only compared to his premier piano. But when Chiaki and the teacher fight, they degrade him to the rejection class. Chiaki has to pursue his dream of being a conductor while surrounded by a group of losing musicians and an annoying girl, Noda, who has declared herself Chiaki’s girlfriend. It doesn’t help that Noda, who insists on calling herself Nodame, lives alongside him.

NOTE:- NODAME CANTABILE REVOLVES AROUND THE LIVES OF HIGHLY ADORABLE, MUSICALLY INCLINED CHARACTERS, NODAME AND CHIAKI, WHILE KURAGEHIME IS ABOUT TSUKIMI, A LOVER OF JELLYFISH, AND KURANOSUKE, A LOVER OF FASHION. I DIDN’T EXPECT CHIHAYAFURU TO BE EQUALLY INTERESTING AT FIRST, BUT IT WAS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. SHE INTRODUCED ME TO A FASCINATING SPORT CALLED COMPETITIVE KARUTA, WHICH WAS SO GOOD THAT I WOULD PLAY IT IF I COULD READ JAPANESE. PERSONALLY, I THINK CHIHAYAFURU’S SELLING POINT WOULD BE HER CHARACTERS (EACH PERSON’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WAS COMMENDABLE), FRIENDSHIP, THE SPORT ITSELF AND GOD, THE LOVE TRIANGLE. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT CHIHAYA AND ARATA WERE OFFICERS, THE WAY TAICHI WAS BEING POSITIONED MID-STORY WOULD MAKE YOU QUESTION WHAT YOU THOUGHT THE CANON WAS, AND THEN CHIHAYA WOULD CRUSH ALL THE THEORIES YOU EVER HAD AGAIN.

Light anime based on novels

6. Kyoukai no Kanata/Beyond the Boundary (2013)

The dark fantasy follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the child appears human, he is half dead and invulnerable to injury because he can heal quickly. 5. Mahouka Koukou no Rettosei (2014)

2. Full Metal Panic! (2002)

To complete this task, Sousuke will have to face enemies from his past, as well as occasional thieves of panties. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the most difficult part of his mission is not only to protect Miss Chidori, but also to get used to living an average life of high school students, which is not an easy task for someone. high on the battlefield.

1. Sword Art Online (2012)

The only way to escape is to “dump” the game. Death in the game means real “death”: the ten thousand people who connected to the still mysterious game “Sword Art Online” using their nervous equipment have been forced to participate in this dangerous death game and are trapped inside. Protagonist Kirito, one of many players, praised this “truth”. He plays alone in the giant castle that is the scene of this game – “Aincrad”. To meet the conditions to complete the game and exit this twisted virtual world, you must cross all 100 floors. Will Kirito have what it takes to complete the game, or will he die trying?

NOTE :- THE TITLES MENTIONED ARE NOT ORIGINAL OR MANGA-BASED ANIME CREATIONS, BUT RATHER ARE BASED ON LIGHT NOVELS THAT WERE DEVELOPED IN OTHER FORMS OF MEDIA, SUCH AS MANGA AND ANIME.

ANOTHER REASON WHY I GROUPED THESE TITLES TOGETHER IS BECAUSE THE CREATORS OF THE MENTIONED WORKS WERE ABLE TO BALANCE ACTION AND ROMANCE WITHIN THE STORY, SOMETHING THAT RARELY, RARELY OCCURS IN THE PREVIOUS CATEGORIES I MENTIONED.

Action / Sports—Original Anime With Less Than 50 Episodes

4. Psycho-Pass (2012)

In the future, it is possible to quantitatively measure a person’s emotions, desires and inclinations. In this way, it is also possible to measure a person’s criminal tendency factor, which is used to try offenders. It is the story of a team of police officers dedicated to maintaining public order. Some of them work in the Law Enforcement Division, which is responsible for the capture of criminals, while others belong to the Surveillance Division, which oversees their law enforcement colleagues.

3. Yuri!!! On Ice (2016)

The story of the show revolves around Yuuri Katsuki, who carried all Japan’s hopes on his shoulders to win the Grand Prix ice skating competition, but suffered a crushing defeat. He returns home to Kyushu and half feel like he wants to retire and the other half wants to continue ice skating. With these mixed feelings swirling in her, she limited herself to her parents’ house. Suddenly, the world’s fivefold ice skater Viktor Nikiforov appears before him, and with him is Yuri Plisetsky, a young Russian skater who is already hitting his elders. Viktor and the two Yuris rise to the challenge in an unprecedented Grand Prix series.

2. Cowboy Bebop (1998)

Spike Spiegel, a bounty hunter with a dark past, lives from generosity to generosity, barely succeeds every time, or fails at all. His companions Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed and Ein the Dog help him in his planet-to-planet adventures.

1. Samurai Champloo (2004)

Mugen is a fierce warrior that resembles an animal with a unique fighting style inspired by Bboying (break-dance). Jin has a more traditional style, but I don’t see him as a weakness because his abilities are incredible. The two contrasting samurai warriors are far from being friends, but their separate paths seem to intersect anyway. Mugen wanders aimlessly around town when she comes across a tea room where she meets Jin and Fuu (a dumb waitress, but doesn’t think she has hidden anything in her sleeves). Fuu convinces them both to go with him in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and begins their journey. This modernized hip-hop story breaks the barriers of historical and common samurai anime. Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama

NOTE :- I MADE A SEPARATE CATEGORY FOR THE ANIME TITLES LISTED ABOVE BECAUSE ALL OF THESE ARE ANIME ORIGINALS AND ARE SHORT ANIME SERIES SPANNING 22 EPISODES OR MORE. ALSO, THERE ARE PLENTY OF INDEPENDENT EPISODES (INDEPENDENT STORIES THAT DON’T NEED PREVIEW OF OTHER EPISODES) IN COWBOY BEBOP AND SAMURAI CHAMPLOO. UNLIKE MOST OF THE ANIME LISTED ABOVE IN THIS HUB, THESE SERIES HAVE ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED AND GIVEN A PROPER ENDING (EVEN IF IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ENDED TOO SOON!). IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT COWBOY BEBOP AND SAMURAI CHAMPLOO ARE CREATIONS OF SHINICHIRO WATANABE.

I RECENTLY ADDED YURI !!! ON ICE IN THIS LIST, THE ONLY SPORTS ANIME IN THE CATEGORY. AT FIRST I WAS HESITANT BECAUSE YURI ON ICE SEEMS TO BE FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT COMPARED TO THE OTHER TITLES LISTED HERE, BUT I DIDN’T WANT TO GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF ADDING A NEW ORIGINAL ANIME CATEGORY WITH JUST ONE ENTRY. COMPARED TO OTHER TITLES, YURI ON ICE’S STRENGTH RELIES MORE ON CHARACTER GROWTH, RELATIONSHIPS, AND AN EMPHASIS ON DETAIL.

First Completed with over 50 episodes

One day he finds a note of death, a notebook held by a shinigami (God of Death). With the note of death in hand, the Light decides to create a perfect world. A world without crimes or criminals. However, when criminals begin to drop the dead one at a time, authorities send a legendary detective L to search for the murderer.

The series revolves around the Shinigam Gun Gauge Technical School, which consists of three groups, each with a weapons master and a human weapon. Soul Eater is an anime that focuses on the masters and their weapons, as well as their mission to collect 99 evil souls and 1 witch soul. After doing so, the master’s weapons become Deathscythe, which is the highest title of the weapon. Maka, Soul Eater, Black Star, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, and Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters that Soul Eater spins. In addition to spending time gathering souls, Shibusen students defend the City of Death from some of the most powerful creatures while they are still at school and try to grow stronger.

All your desires will spread to this mythical stone, which may not even exist. However, the brothers soon learned that they were not the only ones awesome after the stone

NOTE:- EACH OF THE TITLES LISTED ABOVE IS BASED ON THE SHONEN MANGA SERIES, EXCEPT FOR CODE GEASS, WHICH WAS AN ORIGINAL ANIME PRODUCTION. TOKYO GHOUL IS ALSO CLASSIFIED AS SEINEN. THE AFOREMENTIONED ANIME SPANS 50 EPISODES OR MORE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NURARIHYON NO MAGO WITH ONLY 26 EPISODES (52 EPISODES IF SEASON 1 IS INCLUDED), SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN, WHO ONLY AIRED 25 EPISODES DURING ITS FIRST SEASON (SEASON TWO AIRS CURRENTLY))) AND TOKYO GHOUL WITH ONLY 13 EPISODES IN ITS FIRST SEASON (I’M STILL INTERNALLY DEBATING WHETHER I’D LIKE TO RECOMMEND THE SECOND SEASON, TOKYO GHOUL: ROOT A). UNLIKE FULL-LENGTH ANIME SERIES, THERE ARE RARELY ANY FILLER EPISODES. THESE SERIES ARE OFTEN CANONICAL WORKS THAT STRICTLY FOLLOW THE ORIGINAL STORY AND HAVE FAST BUT CONCISE STORIES AND IMPRESSIVE TWISTS. THE LIMITED NUMBER OF EPISODES MEANS THAT THERE ARE RARELY BORING EPISODES AND FOR SOME TITLES, EACH EPISODE IS SHOCKING.

BOTH THE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST SERIES, CODE GEASS, AND SOUL EATER FEATURED MANY PHYSICAL BATTLE SCENES. WHILE THE FIGHT SCENES IN FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST ARE OFTEN BASED ON ALCHEMY AND / OR MILITARY STRENGTH, CODE GEASS FEATURED MECHA-TYPE BATTLES. MEANWHILE, BOTH CODE GEASS AND DEATH NOTE WERE PRIMARILY BATTLES OF WITS BETWEEN THE MAIN AND SUPPORTING CHARACTERS. AS FOR SHINGEI NO KYOJIN, IT HAS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL STORIES I’VE EVER SEEN, PACKED WITH ENOUGH INTENSE AND VIOLENT ACTION SCENES TO GIVE US MINI HEART ATTACKS IN EVERY EPISODE. TOKYO GHOUL STARTED OUT SLOW, THE FIGHT SCENES ARE SCATTERED ACROSS THE 13 EPISODES, BUT THEY’RE AMAZING (ESPECIALLY THE LAST EPISODE OF THE SEASON), ALBEIT CENSORED.

AT FIRST I WAS HESITANT TO GROUP SENNEN MAKYOU WITH THE REST OF THE INCREDIBLY INTENSE TITLES HERE, AS THE NURARIHYON NO MAGO THEME IS A BIT LIGHTER. HOWEVER, IN TERMS OF THE PLOT, SENNEN MAKYOU WAS WONDERFULLY MADE AND IN NO WAY INFERIOR COMPARED TO THE OTHERS. (NURARIHYON NO MAGO SEASON 1 WAS INTENTIONALLY EXCLUDED FROM THIS LIST).

THE MOST RECENT ADDITION TO THIS CATEGORY IS ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM, WHICH WAS COMPLETED IN TWO SEASONS, THE FIRST WITH 22 EPISODES, WHILE THE SECOND WITH 25 EPISODES. PERSONALLY, I THOUGHT THE SERIES STARTED SLOWLY, BUT THE STORY WILL START AFTER WATCHING A FEW EPISODES, AND YOU’LL DEFINITELY LOVE GETTING ON WITH ALL THE CHARACTERS.

More Than 100 Episodes

NOTE :- IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN GOLDEN TIME YET, I SUGGEST YOU DO SO NOW. IN MY OWN OPINION

THESE ANIME TITLES ARE LONG-RUNNING ANIME SERIES BASED PRIMARILY ON SHONEN MANGA. THESE STORIES GENERALLY REVOLVE AROUND THE MAIN CHARACTERS’ QUEST FOR POWER AND STRENGTH TO FULFILL THEIR DREAMS AND PROTECT THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND LOVED ONES. AS THE STORIES PROGRESS, THE CHARACTERS EXHIBIT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL GROWTH, BRINGING THEM CLOSER TO THEIR DREAMS (FOR EXAMPLE, NARUTO WHO WANTS TO BE HOKAGE OR LUFFY WHO DREAMS OF FINDING THE ONE PIECE AND BECOMING THE PIRATE KING).

THE MANGA COUNTERPART TO EACH TITLE MENTIONED ABOVE IS STILL ONGOING, EXCEPT FOR THE ORIGINAL PRINCE OF TENNIS MANGA, WHICH ENDED IN 2008. GOOD NEWS FOR PRINCE OF TENNIS FANS: A NEW MANGA SERIES BEGAN SERIALIZING IN 2009, CALLED NEW PRINCE OF TENNIS, AS A CONTINUATION OF THE ORIGINAL MANGA.

HAIKYUU IS ONE OF THE NEW ADDITIONS IN THIS CATEGORY THAT ALREADY HAS 3 SEASONS, THE FIRST TWO HAVE 25 EPISODES EACH, WHILE THE THIRD SEASON ONLY HAS 10 EPISODES.

I ALSO RECENTLY ADDED BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA, THE SHORTEST ANIME SERIES ON THIS LIST. ITS SECOND SEASON IS CURRENTLY RUNNING, BUT THE FIRST SEASON ONLY HAS 13 EPISODES. IT MAY BE THE ONE WITH THE FEWEST EPISODES RIGHT NOW, BUT WITH A STRONG START ARC LIKE THAT, I’D LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT THIS ANIME HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LAST A LONG TIME LIKE THE OTHERS HERE. I REALLY LIKE AND THINK THIS IS THE FIRST TIME OR ONE OF THOSE RARE OCCASIONS THAT MC CAN BE BOTH STRONG AND ANALYTICAL, AND I RECOMMEND INCLUDING THIS ON YOUR WATCH LIST IF IT’S NOT THERE YET.

What’s your favorite on this list?
