Animation based on the Light Novel Series “My Instant Death Ability”
Earth Star Entertainment announced on December 1 that they would be adapting Tsuyoshi Fujitaka’s light novel series My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered into an anime series for the small screen. A brief teaser trailer was released in order to promote the anime.
Fujitaka’s series protagonist Yogiri Takatou goes on a field trip with his class and discovers that they have all been whisked away to another world. Ability enhancement was bestowed upon them all by a mysterious wise man.
Takatou dozed off during the ordeal and awoke to find that he and another student had been left behind to distract a vicious dragon while the rest of the class fled.
To save his partner, Takatou uses his secret ability to induce death with a single thought, despite the fact that he is unfazed by the prospect of dying.
As of December 2018, 13 volumes and 1,000,000 copies of the light novel series were in circulation, with the first volume having been released in October 2016.
The anime’s cast, crew, and airdate remain under wraps.
My Instantaneous Death ability is so potent
A light novel series by the same name, written by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka, serves as the inspiration for the upcoming anime My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered.
The protagonist, Yogiri Takatou, is a junior in high school who can kill with a thought.
Since its debut in October 2016, the light novel series has sold over a million copies of its 13 total books.
