Unnamed Memory Light Novels Will Be Animated in 2023
A television anime adaptation of the Unnamed Memory light novel series was announced on December 13 through the official website and Twitter account for the series, with a 2023 start date being targeted.
Cast and crew members, as well as a teaser image and video, were made available on the website.
Atsumi Tanezaki will provide the voice of Tinasha, while Yoshiki Nakajima will provide his talents to the role of Oscar in the anime’s main cast.
Kazuya Miura, of Studio ENGI, is directing the anime adaptation of the light novel series by Furumiya Kuji and chibi. Deko Akao is composing the series, while Chika Noumi is designing the characters. Music composition duties go to Akito Matsuda.
According to Yen Press, the novels’ plots are:
“Oscar ventures up the perilous tower of the Witch of the Azure Moon in search of her mystical abilities. Any woman he marries will be killed by a curse, so he’s hoping her extraordinary magic can undo it.
The handsome prince has a change of heart, though, and decides that Tinasha should marry him instead of suffering under the curse.
Tinasha is reluctant, but she agrees to spend a year with Oscar at the royal palace studying the spell set on the prince.
Although the witch appears harmless at first glance, she actually harbors many evil secrets that have been buried for many years.”
In September 2012, Furimiya started publishing the books in serial form on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō . In January of 2019, Kadokawa began printing Chibi-illustrated editions of the books.
Unnamed Memory
Chibi does the illustrations for Furumiya Kuji’s fantasy romance light novel series Unnmaed Memory. Published for the first time in September 2012, the novels are relatively recent additions to the literary world.
In both books, Oscar is the protagonist and he is after the Witch of the Azure Moon’s abilities. He believes that the witch is the only one who can lift the curse that will claim the life of any woman he marries.
The beautiful witch Tinasha, however, convinces him that she is the one he should ask to be his wife instead, as she would undoubtedly make it through the ordeal. At order to break the curse, Tinasha accepts to stay with Oscar in his palace.
