Thorfinn has left Ketil’s farm to go back home. In Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 24, he will see his family for the first time in a long time, since he left home with his father when he was a child.
In the last episode, we saw that Thorfinn and King Canute kept talking about the same things. Thorfinn reminded Canute of the world he wanted to make, but Canute is not the same person he was before. Canute then asked Thorfinn what he would do if the King kept taking over farms and other things all over the country.
Thorfinn said he would just run, and he would keep running until he got to a place where the King couldn’t find him. Then, he said, he would build that peaceful land. Canute thought about what Thorfinn said and then withdrew his army. He also said that he had decided not to attack any more farms.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 23: Summary!
Last time, Thorfinn and his colleagues continued debating what should be done in the event that his terms are rejected. Canute was still having trouble, and the ghost of his father told him that Thorfinn is a dangerous man who must be killed at once, but Canute was cautious.
Thorfinn was questioned about his plans in the event that Canute does not pull back his army. Thorfinn declared that he would continue running until he reached an area where not even the King could find him. He’ll establish a peaceful nation after that. Since Canute had never before engaged in a debate about peace, the whole thing struck him as hilarious.
We then saw Thorgil, whose battle was still ongoing, discover that all the King’s ships had left the port. Canute later appeared to us at sea, where he rescinded his earlier decision to seize farmland. He consulted his advisor, who ended up agreeing with him.

Thorfinn and Einar bid a tearful farewell to Arnheid before parting ways forever. Soon after, Leif and his companions set sail for Thorfinn’s country. As they left, Snake revealed his true identity, introducing himself as Roald. After that, Olmar helped out on the farm alongside Snake and his men. Soon, Thorfinn will be back in Asgard.
