Web Manga Uchuu Nanchara Kotetsu-kun Scores An Anime!
Through A.I.R’s official Twitter account it has been revealed that Yuji Nishimura’s web manga titled “Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun” is influencing a television anime series that is set to premiere in Japan from April 2021.
Nishimura sketched a colorful and chibi-like illustration that accompanied the Twitter announcement portraying the characters in the upcoming anime.
The tweet also contained a trailer for the series which shows the world in which the new anime “Space Academy” is taking place. The one-minute video introduces the main character Kotetsu and his friends.
The series is being produced by Fanworks studio which is also responsible for the musical comedy anime series “Aggretsuko”.
The anime titled “Space Academy” was announced on September 12th, 2020 which is celebrated as “Space Day” by Japan’s Aerospace Exploration Agency because on this day in 1992, the first Japanese astronaut took off to space.
The original manga was also released with an important date kept in mind.
Nishimura launched the Uchuu Nanchara Kotetsu-kun manga on August 6, 2019, which is right after the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing and has since published a chapter every other Monday for free.
