Will Season 2 of Blue Lock be Released?
Blue Lock has become quite popular among fans of anime, and for good reason. It gives a somewhat distinctive perspective on soccer, and Japan’s performance at the FIFA World Cup increased its appeal even further.
This television series’ first season got off to an aggressive start. We learned that, in contrast to other sports anime, the Blue Lock universe does not value friendship or good sportsmanship.
There are still plenty of episodes left in the anime’s first season until it is finished. However, a lot of fans are eagerly anticipating a Season 2.
Regarding Blue Lock Season 2’s debut, there has been no formal word. However, considering the increasing interest in its anime, it’s feasible that Blue Lock may return for a second season. In addition, the manga includes more than 200 chapters, so there is no shortage of adaptable material.
How many chapters will be covered in Blue Lock Season 1?
We might anticipate that because Season 1 would span two episodes, it will cover around 80 chapters of the manga. This indicates that the First Selection arc and the Second Selection arc will both be covered in the first season of the anime.
Season 2 storyline: What can we expect?
The Third Selection storyline will presumably start in Season 2. If it is only one cour, it will cover the U20 match. However, if the upcoming season follows the two-course pattern, we could see a Neo-Egoist League arc adaption that includes excellent players like Kaiser.
However, because the Neo Egoist League storyline includes too many chapters, the second season won’t entirely adapt it. It’s possible that the Neo-Egoist League narrative will leave the season on a cliffhanger.
However, it’s crucial to realize that all of these rumors should be treated with caution. Only after a formal announcement will we learn what will transpire in season 2.
After season 1 concludes in early April, if Eight Bit does want to release a second season, you may anticipate them to announce it then.
Blue Lock
Japanese manga author Muneyuki Kaneshiro and artist Yusuke Nomura collaborated on the Blue Lock series. Since August 2018, it has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shnen Magazine. The shnen category of the 45th Kodansha Manga Award was won by Blue Lock in 2021.
The movie opens with Japan being knocked out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which inspires the Japanese Football Union to launch a program scouting high school players who will start practicing for the 2022 Cup.
The forward Isagi Youichi was invited to this program not long after his team misses out on going to Nationals because he passed to a less talented teammate.
Ego Jinpachi, their coach, plans to “destroy Japanese loser football” by implementing a radical new training program that segregates 300 teenage attackers into a facility resembling a jail dubbed “Blue Lock.”
