What happened to Shigaraki?
The battle in the flying dome has been going on for a while. With Eraser Head denying him regeneration, the villain had accumulated a lot of damage to his body.
And since this body is always trying to metamorphose into the best shape, another transformation happened.
Shigaraki attained the apex form of his body, which was a huge boost to him. Using this, he took out Mirko finally and then proceeded to defeat the Big 3.

What was the message that came?
Midway through the carnage, a message came that asked them to open the barrier for a second. It asked everyone there to hold on for two more seconds. But all the heroes knew that holding out for even such a small amount of time is nearly impossible for them.
The thoughts of Nighteye saddened Mirio. He then remembered his master saying that the world needs humor and laughter, which prompted his next move. He sunk himself and slowly came out, butt first!
