The first chunin exam was put on hold because of the attack by Momoshiki, but now that the immediate threats are out, starting Boruto Episode 221 the chunin exams will resume.
Konoha has been the center of attention for evildoers for the longest period of time.
The last time Naruto decided to host the Chunin exam, Momoshiki appeared and blew the whole stadium.
Thus the chunin exam was stopped to take care of the immediate threat against Konoha as well as the rest of the five great nations. But now that Naruto has lost Kurama, he has grown weaker than before.
Naruto feels like there’s a need for stronger and talented shinobis because of the continued attacks against Konoha and the other nations.
Even though Isshiki has been defeated, they still have Code to deal with.
The chunin exam will resume in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 221 and we get to see how many from team 7 end up as chunins.
Will Boruto be allowed to fight at his full strength? Boruto has more experience than a veteran after fighting Momoshiki, Isshiki, and Boro.
His karma gives him incredible strength and using that in the chunin exam is surely going to be unfair for the other participants. How will this go?

The goal of this Chunin exam is to recruit talented shinobi with different fields of expertise. Shinobi’s from different nations will participate and maybe we will get to see some dark horses.
Like every week, Boruto Ep 221 will be airing this Sunday on 24th October 2021.
The title of the episode is “The Chunin exam resumes” and the English subbed will air a few hours after the Japanese version.
The full episode will be available to watch on the Crunchyroll official website. Boruto is still not available to watch on Netflix, but we hope it gets listed soon.

At the end of the last episode, a small preview was released that gave us a sneak peek of the chunin exams.
The title of Boruto Ep 221 is “The chunin exam resumes”.
The first Chunin exam was halted after Momoshiki invaded the stadium and released bolts of lightning and balls of fire all around the stadium.
No one was able to graduate as a Chunin and that’s why Naruto is going to host a second one.
Now that Naruto has gotten weaker, he wants to recruit talented strong shinobis who can help build the strength of the five great nations.
From the preview we see Shikamaru, Sai, and Naruto at the start of the exam gate and Boruto standing in front of them. This second exam is not going to be any easier than the first one.
But we think there are going to be certain limitations and restrictions on Boruto as to how he uses his powers in the battle.
Like how Naruto was not allowed his Senjutsu when he attempted to become a chunin after the Pain arc, we expect Boruto will not be allowed to use Karma powers as well.
Most of the Konoha gennins will enter the exams to prove their might and some might even get promoted as a chunin.
Since Boruto Ep 221 is an anime original episode, no source material is available and it was not covered in the manga. The anime original will bring us some fresh content and will be surely entertaining.
Ino Shika Cho will also get a chance to strengthen their power and learn the true meaning of their formation.
But as expected something is bound to go wrong with this Chunin exam as well.
In the Boruto Episode 221 English sub preview the students were shown rescuing some Jonins and instructors from the site of the exam.
Who is the invader this time?
Is it an outside attack or is done by some student attending the chunin exam?
