Ao Ashi Plot: Season 1 Summary
Ehime to Tokyo
Ehime is a small rural town in Japan, and Ashito Aoi is a middle school student there. As far as the locals are concerned, he is a football genius. Tatsuya Fukuda approaches him after seeing him perform well in a preliminary high school match.
It was mostly curiosity that drew Fukuda in at first. However, he is taken aback by Ashito’s skill, which allows him to remember even the most minute details of a battle. He recommends that Ashito play in the Youth Esperion FC playoffs.
If he passed, Fukuda said they’d go to the global finals. This is Ashito’s chance to escape, so he packs up and heads to Tokyo.
To be sure, Tokyo is an entirely other planet. No longer was he the only one considered a “genius.” It looks like he’s having a hard time keeping up with the other players, who started playing professionally at much younger ages than he has. Aoi Ashito passes the evaluation, hence she’s officially a member of Youth Esperion FC.
Youth Esperion FC
Ashito is always working to better himself, and he appears to be closer to his goals with each passing day. These shatter when Fukuda instructs him to switch from offensive player to defensive. Ashito can only be a defensive element of Fukuda’s “dream team” because of the wider picture he has in mind.
Despite his low spirits, Ashito keeps up his efforts to better himself. His current objective is to go to Team A and join the squad’s elite players. Although he accomplishes this feat defensively, he does so. At the end, he gets a quick look at his new friends on Team A.
