Madoka Magica’s 4th Anime Film’s Promo Reveals Winter 2024 Debut
Puella Magi Madoka Magica, aka Madoka Magica, concluded its first season on April 22, 2011. Its most recent movie, Magica Movie 3: Hangyaku no Monogatari, or “Rebellion,” came out in 2013.
It’s been a literal decade since, and now it’s back with something new for its fans. During a commemorative event for the 10th anniversary held on April 25, 2021, Aniplex and Shaft announced the sequel to “Rebellion.”
The 4th movie in the franchise, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgis Kaiten.” is set to debut in winter 2024. You can watch the movie on Crunchyroll once it drops.
The trailer starts off with a glimpse into Homura’s backstory and her journey into the shadows.
It then shifts its focus to the other magical girls, seemingly set within the revised world Homura forged at the conclusion of “Rebellion.” However, it’s unclear whether she will play the role of a protagonist, a morally complex protagonist, or a straightforward antagonist.
In the meantime, you can check out the original anime and its spin-off TV series, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, released in 2020.
