Jo Gul:
Jo Gul is a third-rate martial artist who is introduced at the start of the manga as one of the energetic characters with lots of hidden growth potential. Through his training he grew stronger every day and was usually the first one who backed up Cheong Myeong in any situation. He went from a bully-like character to becoming one of the main 5 characters that hang around with Cheong Myeong during his missions.
Jong Yoon:
He is one of the characters who is introduced along with Jo Gul although he is the sly and intelligent kind of character whose character development progresses at an extremely high rate. During the training he was the one who was always helping his friends while training himself to the extent of his limits, just to grow stronger and get better than he already was.
Yoo Iseol:
She is the Second-rate martial artist who is first seen during the nighttime training on the ground where Cheong Myeong is seen training she notices him recreating one of the lost skills of the Mount Hua Sect and from then on, she continues to pester Cheong Myeong to teach her those skills.
Later she is not shown much nor have her skills shown to gauge how much she has grown as a side character, though we see her listening to Cheong Myeong as if his words are the law.
Baek Cheon:
He is the proclaimed leader of the second-rate martial artists of the Mount Hua Sect though he is shown to be attracted to Yoo Iseol but is unable to get close to her.
Baek is shown as a prideful Character when he is first introduced but is later seen listening to Cheong Myeong even though he is hesitant to follow him. He is someone who respects Cheong Myeong’s skills but does not respect Cheong Myeong as a person due to his crass and weird behaviors.
