A New Project In The Symphogear Franchise Is Now In The Works
The Symphogear Live concert that took place on November 20 ended an announcement that Senki Zessho Symphogear franchise in launching a new project in “20XX”. The announcement did not mention the format or medium of the project.
The concert was held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the magical girl mecha anime franchise. The official twitter account of the franchise teased the project with a tweet saying “To the never-before-seen ends of the Earth …”
The Senki Zessho Symphogear franchise premiered with a 13-episode television series in January 2012. The second anime series in the franchise, Senki Zessho Symphogear G, went on from July to September 2013. The third series in the franchise, Senki Zessho Symphogear GX, ran from July to September 2015.
The fourth and fifth series aired in 2017 and 2019 respectively. The first series in the franchise was directed by the late Tatsufumi, while the others were directed by Katsumi Ono at the Studio Satelight.
The new project is currently in the works but nothing more is known about the project or those involved in it.
