A Sweet Cherry Blossom Visual Teases April Premiere of Deaimon Anime
The upcoming Deaimon anime portrays the dilemma of Nagumo, whose parents own a traditional Japanese sweet shop, but to fulfill his dream of becoming a musician, he ran away to Tokyo.
When he comes back after ten years, he is shocked to know that his parents have already found another heir. And this isn’t even the biggest surprise, as the new heir is just a middle-schooler girl.
The Deaimon anime will be released in April 2022, and we will soon discover how Nagumo plans to deal with his chibi contender. A new visual has been revealed with both Nagumo and Itsuka:
Since the anime will be released in Japan during the cherry blossom season, the visual also depicts the gorgeous pink flowers.
Itsuka was left by her father, who never came back. Thus, she adopted an uncompromising attitude and started hating those who abandoned their responsibilities. Enter Nagumo, the personification of ignoring responsibilities.
Needless to say, Itsuka didn’t take a liking to him. Still, Nagumo is tasked with being a father to her so that the girl has someone to rely on.

Deaimon will portray a heartwarming bond that is formed between people through Japanese sweets in a small wagashi store in Kyoto. So, get ready for the good old Kyoto-dialect and plates upon plates of beautiful sweets.
About Deaimon
Deaimon is a Japanese manga was created by Rin Asano and was launched in the May 2016 issue of Young Ace. Kadokawa published the manga’s 10th compiled volume on November 4, and will publish the 11th compiled volume on May 1.
The manga’s story centers on Nagomu, a man who left his home in Kyoto and his family’s confectionary shop when he became a musician.
Nagomu Irino returns to his Kyoto home for the first time in ten years when his father is hospitalized.
Nagomu is eager to take over Ryokushou, the family’s Japanese sweet shop, but he’s instead asked to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihira, the girl everyone calls the successor.
