The prominent company is back with an original television sci-fi anime series titled “Akudama Drive”. It is being co-produced by Japanese video-game developer Too Kyo Games.
The anime series is being written by Norimitsu Kaiho, the man behind yet another famous anime series, Danganronpa.
The show is set during a war between Kansai and Kantou that splits Japan in half.
Kansai is now a vassal state of Kantou where powerful criminals known as “Akudama” roam the streets with no one to oppose them.

Through A.I.R’s Twitter account, it has been revealed that the original TV anime is all set to premiere in Japan on October 8th, 2020.
The announcement of the series’ release date was followed by a promotional video and a new visual.
The newly released trailer opens to a futuristic Japan. The video announces more cast members, the opening theme song artists, and the premiere date for the anime.
A snippet of the opening theme song for the series “Steal!!” by “SPARK!!SOUND!!SHOW!! is played in the video as we are introduced to new cast members.

Akudama Drive is an original anime adapted by Too Kyo Games and Studio Pierrot.
Long ago, the world was torn because of the war which arose between Kansai and Kanto. Eventually, Kansai came under the reign of Kantou and became independently developed.
However, it all fell apart when the whole area became crime-infested, where police force and political powers were mere gimmicks.
The perpetrators of the events which led to the decline of this ‘high-developed but twisted society were criminals known as ‘Akudama’. But how do these so-called criminals act in society? The virtues of the Akudama gathered here will clash.
