American Gods S3: Starz Releases an Epic Final Trailer
Starz has dropped a new and final trailer for American Gods season three and the world cannot keep calm! The trailer teases the long-awaited season that might be the biggest one yet. We see Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning and others reprise their roles in the third season and their characters are in deep trouble again.
While Shadow tries to lie low for a couple of months in the snowy hamlet of Lakeside, the world conspires to bring him out into the open. He realizes that he cannot decide to walk away when the whole world is in peril.
The new trailer reveals more about the new characters in the third season and how integral they will be to the story. We get to see Danny Trejo’s character in action and Marilyn Manson hyping up the crowd. There is also a glimpse of other new characters played by Lela Loren, Devery Jacobs, Blythe Danner and Julia Sweeney in the trailer.
Of course, the old characters return with full glory. At one point in the trailer, Crispin Glover’s Mr. World says, “We will hunt and kill every one of you that gets in our way,” and we know that the war between the Old gods and the New gods is in full swing.
American Gods is known for its outstanding visual effects but it looks like season three has outdone the previous ones. With the new showrunner of the show, Charles Eglee, coming straight from The Walking Dead production team, we can expect more awesome CGI from the rest of the season.
If all the discussion about the third season has made you think that you need to catch up on the first two seasons, you are in luck. Starz had previously announced that an American Gods marathon would be airing before the premiere of the third season. Back-to-back episodes of the first season will be aired on January 9th from 12:00 PM ET/PT. Season two starts on January 10th from 12:20 PM ET/PT.
“Let there be blood,” Marilyn Manson’s character says, and from the looks of it, the third season will be a bloodbath.
American Gods is returning on Starz on January 10th, 2021 and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from January 11th.
